My wife and I lived there for 2 yrs (Feb 2007-Feb2009) and had to move as I got transferred to a different state. We we fairly happy when we were there but realized even more how good these apartments were once we left. Management recently changed and didn't had much issues with them. Everything was under renovation when we left and the lobby and the corridors were already looking very good. Didn't have many maintenance issues, could be lucky in that aspect. For us the most important part was the location and the closet space. So the pros are:
1. Spacious rooms and plenty of closet space, which we really miss in our next apt.
2. All the facilities are right there on Namans Rd, makes everything so easy; Gym, playground, shopping and even movie hall. Also I had to drop my wife to train station and it was so easy with the location we had. Both claymont and Marcus Hook stations are just 5 mnts away!
3. Plenty of parking space. Never had any issue when frnds were over.
4. Right of I-95, makes it so easy to give directions to friends.
The cons are:
There were some issues of children running in hallways and gathering in groups in the lobby all the time but had somewhat resolved when we left.
Every once in a while someone would leave the trash in the hallway
No matter where you go, management can always give you headache once in a while.
In all, we were very happy. I strongly wanted to write this favorable review as after seeing all the bad reviews it almost seems that this place is not worth living at all, but at least in our experience thats completely misleading. We had a great time and thats why I want others to know that this is indeed a very decent place to look deeper into.

sounds like written by the management. A lot like "sales pitch". No facts, just "come on guys, it's not that bad, especially when you ready to leave" and "yes, we had to suffer, but now we are leaving, please step in and share our stupid sufferings in hope they won't be repeated: just SIGN UP AND SEE WHAT WILL HAPPEN!!!". Lousy argument.

I lived on second floor in 2000 building and it was an updated unit, so hard for me to compare to anything else, so in short, we had the updated unit and we liked it. I never had to pay for water bill, that must be different now! We actually had a small leak in the attached bathroom soon after we moved in, but that was fixed promptly and since then we didn't have any more leaks. Hope it helps.

I am moving to the Whitney in July and seemed to be more interested in your review verses the older ones. Like you I am also easy to please I am concerned about the water bill and leaks. I have a choice main floor or first floor updated unit which one would you choose knowing what you know ?
