My wife and I have lived at Cedar Chase since 2003. The apartment was very clean and in good shape when we moved in. We were concerned living on the second floor that we would hear people below and above us, however that has not been the case. Our view is of the courtyard/putting green.

There are a few things that could be updated, like the metal bi-fold closet doors in the entryway and the workout center.

Things have been updated/upgraded over the years, the pool has been painted, new pool furniture installed last year, the club house is renovated and a perfect place for get togethers, as people move out the kitchens are being gutted and replaced, New washer and dryers. dishwashers, refridgerator/freezer and stoves have been installed. We have asked that our names be added to the kitchen renovation list. The "ADT' type security feature is a nice touch.

I have had a few maintenance issues. At first, it was slow, however it has improved greatly. Our Air Conditioner has went out a few times, however the response has been quick. Or old dryer had to be fixed twice.

I have not had many issues with noise, and I have had several neighbors. I have only had one issue, some VERY loud obnoxious people who lived across from us were very loud all the time (mostly loud rap music). Thankfully they moved! Mostly the complex is quiet, very few kids, mostly middle aged, a good number of military live there.

I am very glad that they allow pets, however there are some idiots that m,ay ruin it by no picking up after their dog. It is a city ordinace, owners can be fined if caught.

Overall, coming from a 4 bedroom house, Cedar Chase is not bad, I would say other than the "brand new" place, it is the nicest in Dover. I have always felt very safe and with my job, I do leave for periods of time, and my wife feels safe as well.

You seem to be at the total opposite end of the spectrum with this review. I am so confused! I am looking for a safe, clean, quiet place for me and my 2 teens to live and I dont know who to believe when I read your post and when I read one of the others that said that this apt complex is ghetto fabulous. So few good places to live and you really cant tell form these reviews what to choose. It is a shame.
