I have had several apartments in Delaware and this was by far the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. They were quick to move us in and get the lease signed to get our money but after that I couldn't get them to do anything. They never returned calls cause they are never in the office during office hours, never follow through on maintenance requests and they don't even check the mail. After several attempts to get some things fixed I was told I need to put it in writing by the so called "office manager", the property manager's daughter, so I did. I sent my request through certified mail and delivery was attempted several times and surprise surprise no one was ever in the office to sign for it and they were too lazy to go to the post office to pick it up. According to the "office manager" they never received the notice. I had to call the management office, which is Westminster Management, in New Jersey http://www.westminster-management.com/default.asp. which is an affiliate of Kushner Companies and get the supervisor of the properties in Delaware to get something done. If you go to yellowpages.com and search for Kushner Companies in Florham Park, NJ you can get the phone # to the office. The supervisor had to get the property manager on the phone, the mother of the "office manager" and we had to have a three way call to get anything accomplished. However, even when maintenance did come they did a crappy job. Till the day I moved out the screens on the windows would not lock, the sliding screen door was never on track and would not lock, the toilet ran constantly, the circuit breaker blew at least three times a week, the branches from the overgrown trees were always on my car...the list goes on.

The apartments are unsafe especially if you have children. I wasn't even able to open my sliding glass door because my one year old could crawl right up to the screen door and slide it open and be out the door. Not to mention one of our electric outlets started to spark and smoke and it took them a day or so to get an electrician out to look at it.

After the incident with the supervisor and the three way call I always called the property manager, the mother, to get anything done. The "office manager" always had an attitude with me cause I guess I hurt her feelings when I cursed at her one time. Well, if her and her so called "staff" would do their jobs instead of standing outside smoking or doing whatever they do I would not have had to get nasty. She would never make it in the real world with a real corporate job because she lacks all professional and social skills.

I do feel almost sorry for the property manager because again she was always helpful after a certain point. She seems to be under the impression that the office staff at Mapleton Square gets done what needs to be done and that is certainly not the case. Recently a tenant just passed around a flyer to everyone in the community asking them if they were tired of how they are treated by the staff and how lazy they are when it comes to maintenance requests. I don't know how much clearer it can get to her than that.

Luckily for me I move into my brand new luxury apartment community in a few days!!

You and your hard earned money deserve so much more than what Mapleton "Ghetto" Square has to offer.

I live at Mapleton Square and I love it.. I have lived here for 16 years never any problem with any staff memeber. I have known the property manager here for 11 years and her daughter for 5 always helpful. I don't cuss, I don't have to. The maintemance staff is always professional. It seems most times if things don't go our way we always cast blame. I would recommend Mapleton to everyone.
