I live in a 2nd story apartment for about 7 months now and I really can say its a great apartment to live in. I liked the 2nd floor better because it feels somewhat bigger almost like a townhouse. I love the fact that we have 2 balconies, and very big closets. I live in the newer models which have ceiling fans and are great for those fall and spring nights. The only thing I wish was different was the pet policy, they only allow fish but Im hoping they may begin to change the policy and possibly allow cats like Rockwood Apartments does even though they too are fairly new. Our utility bills are very low also and it seems to stay very warm in our apartment through the winter. They have a security patrolman that is out at night which is nice. One thing I have noticed is the building is settling, it is new construction but I began to notice cracks in the ceilings and walls after the first couple of months. Im only renting so its not a big deal to me.
