Scotch Hills has gone down greatly in the last 3 years. When I moved in during the summer of '03 the staff was professional. Overnight, about 2 years ago they got rid of everyone in the leasing office.
Today, they lose rent checks, don't honor receipts they've marked paid in full, write vague maintenance notifications, and do everything they can to be a pain to tenants.
There are also lots more thugs walking through the apartment complex. I guess that's all they can find to rent to in this place.

I totally agree with this review. Scotch Hills has gone down hill and all the decent people have left this complex because of all the thugs and illegals that live in here. Why not change the name and let more thugs move in. I live on the bottom floor and have had my apartment broken into 6 times in 3 years, and the front office will not do anything about it because they are older then Pope and more clueless then the trashman. They must advertise in every thug magazine and also to every landscaping and mushroom farm in the area, can't move anywhere else then move here, we will take all the trash.

Does any one focus on what they HAVE done? The leasing manager has attempted (in the fall of 2005) to set up a community watch. out of 306 units in the complex, there were THREE residents that actually showed up, Myself being one of them. What do you want the office to do? READ your minds? How about the RESIDENTS being PROACTIVE instead of REACTIVE?

I agree with mrscotchhills, I have seen the cops here in the past month 4 times between 1 and 4 A.M. for problems and if there was some sort of meetings for a community watch the people were afraid to show up because their apartments might have been broken into while they were at the meeting. I also ask the question how many illegal immigrants can you cram into one apartment? I have seen at least 8 living in one apartment, it is like Cinco De Mayo every night.

damn, atleast the cops show up. I used to live in the middle of wilmington, off of market, and they wouldnt even show up! as far as the # of people living in the apartments, how will the office know if the peoepl in the complex dont tell them? they cant just come into the apartments ANYTIME they feel like |

I agree scotch Hills has gone down hill since the old manager left, I forget her name she was a blonde haired woman. Dress and acted very professional. They never recovered. Now it is a dump
