Glad I'm Out!

I was able to buy my own home & move out, after a rough divorce. Granted, I didn't leave the place in immaculate condition, but they kept my security AND added about $300 more. I called ----, the property manager, but was advise that she was no longer with the office. They told me that --- was in charge now. I called him three times & he only tried once to return my call (but missed me). I wanted to tell him that he could keep my security, but not charge me any more, since they had gone into my apartment to do repairs (without the legal 24-hour notice) and left pieces of the ceiling in my bathtub AND didn't close the door, so now my pets could get in and possibly eat the ceiling pieces in the tub. What's worse is that ---- denied that any of her maintenance people had been in my apartment!! I emailed her, advising that I would call the police & charge them with trespassing if they came in unauthorized again. They also charged me for replacing the carpet, even though the water heater had leaked the previous year & peed all over my living room - they sent someone to vacuum up the water & replaced the water heater.
They sent me to a collection agency for the $300 (even though I've only been gone three months), which I'll probably pay, since it's too much trouble to sue them or even get --- on the phone.
I sincerely hope that the management will read this review and I'd even welcome a response from them. I'm not exagerating my review at all. I do have to say that the location is very convenient.

Well, I paid the amount due to the collection agency. I wish someone has warned me about this complex when I was checking out the area for relocation. Everyone tells me (after the fact) I should've got a place in Greenville Place, on Route 52, off of 141. Go check it out - don't move to Wilton!
