I currently live at Stonebridge and have lived here over two years and have seen a decline. The office staff has always been great and the maintenance staff is the best. They fix things immediately and I have not had a problem, but I would sincerely suggest to the administrators to start screening applicants more carefully and stop letting in anybody who fills out an application. If you want this to be a quiet place, stop letting in loud, disruptive people. One loud family can make ten quiet families move out - and the quiet people are leaving.

KIDS: There are A LOT OF KIDS in this place. They are not destructive but are very loud and you can hear them all over. The pool looks nice and they keep it clean but the kids are in it all summer and they scream so you can't enjoy any time at the pool unless you like screaming.

NOISE: Before we moved in we were told it was a very quiet community and they did not tolerate noise. NOT! Sometimes it is quiet but a few people like to blast their music and have the bass booming while they drive through the complex late at night.

Parents do not supervise their children very well and they run and play all around your aparment instead of playing near their own.

The walls are thin, the carpet is almost threadbare and there is very little padding underneath so you can hear your neighbors. You can tell you what room your neighbors are in at any given time, when they are in the shower and when they flush the toilet.

Also realize that this complex is located near the New Castle fire department and the airport so you hear the very loud fire siren and the jets from the airport.

TRASH: There is one large trash compactor near the front of the complex and everybody has to take their trash there. If you live in the back you have to carry your trash quite a distance or put it in your car and drop it off on your way out. No big deal I guess. Some people send their kids with the trash and they drop it along the way or if the bag breaks, they don't bother to clean it up so there is trash and garbage on the ground. Maintenance is excellent at keeping the place very clean but some of the tenants are slobs. Maintenance can't be everywhere all the time.

Some of the townhouses next door have issues such as dogs (pitbulls) not on leashes, drunken men urinating off the balcony, drugs...........I had a crackhead approach me one day and ask for $5.

Drugs, crime, and ignorant people are everywhere so Stonebridge is no worse than anywhere else. If you can afford a ritzy place, I suggest you go there but for the person with a limited income, Stonebridge is not bad. I don't know anything about the crime, rapes, and murders. I have never had any problems.
