Within a month of me moving in here the window of my car was rolled down from the outside and the stereo stolen. I went to the office to report the problem, and the only response they had was "that's weird"- a total lack of concern from an incompetent management staff. Shortly, thereafter, I was asleep in my bed and I awoke to see a maintenance man standing outside my bedroom door, there was no forewarning whatsoever- no 48 hrs notice indicated in the lease, he just let himself in (I am a 21 year old female who lives by myself, this is not a pleasant thing to wake up to). A month or so later, I came home and found that my key wasn't working in my dead bolt, upon further inspection, I realized that someone had tried to pry my dead bolt off and failed. It took 2 hours of me sitting outside my apartment with groceries before maintenance came and sawed off the lock, I then called the police and filed a police report. Throughout the summer, my friend and I were harassed by a drug-addicted upstairs neighbour, who constantly asked for rides, and use of my cellphone and even touched me inappropriately as I walked up the stairs. In October, I was "blessed" with some more upstairs neighbours who scream on the telephone and at their small child and play rap music at 7:30 in the morning that is so loud through the paper thin walls it sounds like its coming from my bedroom (I've been forced to wear earplugs just to sleep through it- and it doesn't even always work).

I recommend highly against this place, because there is NO security... all front doors are open to the public, so anyone can get in the building, the parking lot is not lit, at all- so mace is a must. Oh, and good luck finding a parking spot because of all the illegals living here with 9 or 10 people in their apartment. The hot water in the shower goes randomly from scalding to ice cold and once you turn the faucets on to hot water, they trickle at best, so have fun trying to hand wash your dishes- because, hey- there's no dishwasher.

I am desperately trying to get out of my lease and to get the h**l out of this dump.

my stereo was stolen as well right from the car back in 2007. And the car was parked right next to my window. That was the bitter end (after which I moved out), right after cockroaches (black beetles) epidemic manifestation right from my carpet. I got home after a weekend out and it was like 1000's of them under my bed and under my mattress. Other than that I can't say I've had and noise or "security" problems at all during my 2.5 years there. However, I am not 21 years old female. Hang on in there. Just give your notice and get out. It's going to be all right.
