Horrible noise issues

The apt is a nice size but it's not worth the market rent ($865). I'm here b/c they were running a rent special. My biggest complaint is the lack of noise insulation. I'm on the bottom floor and every time the ppl upstairs walk around, I hear it very loudly. It really seems like at any moment someone is going to fall through the ceiling in my apt, that's how bad it is. When they wake up at 4:30 in the morning, so do I b/c it really is that loud. And I'm not exaggerating. I can say that the office staff has always been professional in dealings w/ me, so I can't complain about that. The one time I had to call maintenance, they came w/ no prob. Overall, it works for a year. And I do like the fact that the utilities are included; even though the heat is loud, it is effective!

I'm not saying I don't expect noise in an apt hun. This is not the 1st time I've lived in one. This is what I get for posting an honest review instead of one bashing the community altogether. The purpose of the review was to let potential renters know what to expect. I'm disappointed I didn't read the reviews ahead of time; if I had, I wouldn't be here. Hun.

I thought your review was helpful. My husband and I are looking for a new apt. We have a 8 month old and have the same noise problems with our current upstairs neighbors. We KNOW there is going to be SOME noise, but if the buildings were constructed properly they wouldn't creak SO bad. And there is common courtesy. I would never think it's ok to blare my music from my car or apt at any time. Or stomp around like a heard of elephants. If we could, we would DEFINITELY be renting a house, but that isn't an option right now and we just want a place that is constructed well, safe, and has respectful neighbors. Is that seriously too much to ask????
