I moved here from California three years ago, I moved in here because it was close to the University where I work. I have regretted it ever since. I signed a long term lease and as soon as it is up I am GONE! The apartments are very old and falling apart...Our kitchen sink leaks, the windows are very poor and cold air and insects always get in. The walls are poorly insulated, the heater does not heat up enough and the single wall A/C unit is pretty useless on those humid summer days. The office staff is pathetic. If you call for maintenance, IF they respond at all, it'll be 3 or 4 days later. When you speak to the office people they act like they just do not give a damn. They act like YOU are the problem. We also had noise problems with loud parties, loud stereos, and just inconsiderate people. The trash pickup was spotty too. Many times trash would not be picked up at all. Parking was a problem too, if you come home late at night you can expect to not find a spot anywhere near your building. The laundry facilities were sub-par, the machines never washed the clothes properly, and they sometimes left dark stains on your clothing. Again, we were told "not our responsibility" by the office staff. And that's another thing, the office staff changes constantly.
