Yes, you've read it in the reviews below--but Apple Chase seriously has the worst office staff ever (and we've been renting for years!). They are unprofessional, incompetent, and completely disrespectful to their tenets. Especially the manager. The staff is also amazing at giving you the run around. You can never speak to the right person when you need to.
BUT WORST OF ALL: Apple Chase will say all sorts of wonderful things to get you in the door and sign the lease--then they won't honor their commitments. In other words, they lie. Straight out lie. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES!! Our most recent nightmare happened during our lease negotiating process. The manager committed to one thing and agreed to put it in writing--then wrote down something different. When we confronted her with the discrepancy between her verbal commitment and the paper document, she changed her whole story. When we provided her with PROOF of her deception, she wouldn't own up to it and told us to contact her boss at Capano Management. So we did. The whole process took two months to figure out! This is not how you run a business or keep tenants. And if you'll read the reviews below--you'll see just how pervasive the problem is.
Unfortunately,, we don't have the luxury of moving at this time--otherwise you can be sure that we'd get the heck outta here!!!!!!!! But we will definitely not renew!!

I could tell you, living at brandywine woods apartments you get a 30 day guarantee that if you do not like your apartment, you can break your lease!! That gives me a sense of them knowing i will like my apartment!!!

Every time I go in the office to pay rent, I see different faces. I think they have serious turnover problems there. I haven't had any problems with management, to be honest. It's not a bad place to live, unless you hate annoying, in-bred, neurotic dogs barking at all hours, and neighbors carelessly slamming doors in the stair well. Seriously, can something be done about this?

-I saw this placed ,for the price it looked ok BUT looks can be decieving, what did the leasing agent do and change at the lease signing, see review above, I used the new castle county crime mapping web page and most of the crime was at the trailer park in back and the pines townhomes, I see 12' wrought iron fences built around the courts denying access so please tell me the real 411 because with all new appliances/wd,gas utilties it SEEMS to be a good deal, do they group dog owners in every area or just one .? HELP educate me with the real 411

I'll be honest, and I should even write a review. Compared to where I came from, this place is like 1000x better.... this is probably due to the fact that I'm in the 'renovated', somewhat newly opened buildings in the back. It comes with a basic washer/dryer/dishwasher, and I love that. My neighbors are all ok, except for one who loves to slam his door... thank God there are no kids running around my apartment, like at the last place.
I have to agree about management--very shady. It's been ok dealing with them, but they make the dumbest mistakes and yes, you do see new faces all the time. I won't name the manager, but she seems to be rude to her employees as well as the clients, as soon as your signature is down o nthat paper. I was told verbally that I'd be given a 2 bedroom apartment but when I moved, it was 1, the contract said one. I spoke to the guy living across from me and he said he was told a 2 bedroom too but it ended up being 1. I've given up on apartments, because it seems like most of management are awful people.
I don't like to deal with 'em too often and hope to be in a house in the next two years!
So in the end, I'm not sure I'd recommend it, but it's a great place compared to my old one... however, i am located in the back, not the front... just don't fall for the 'you're getting the 2 bedroom' deal, it IS too good to be true!

I'm moving from South Carolina to Delaware, I'm here this week looking at apartments and stumbled across this one. I went to it today and they told me they had two bedroom apartments available, decent appliances. I drove through there at night just a while ago, everything appears to be okay, I didn't hear any wild parties going on or see any sketchy activities in the parking lot but then again its a monday night. The only thing that I'm really concerned about, is the neighborhood next to it, it looks a lil run down and sketch.
Another thing, I can't believe they told you two bedroom apartments but you got only one? Did you confront them about it and what did they say? Do they give you a certain amount of time to change your mind about the apartment if its not something you want to go through with?
