My, now husband, and I both had an apartment at the bluffs seperatly. When my husband was called back to the Marine Corps to deploy to Iraq and his roomate was activated to go to Iraq as well Lorraine Brady and Jonathan Tomoras both said it was up to my husband and his roomate to prove they paid the full security deposit with a statement from the bank. After explaining that one is already in Iraq and the other one is a week from leaving for Iraq and security deposits can not be paid with a personal check Lorraine and Jonanthan still said thats not our fault you must prove you paid the full amount. After a year of living there I would think that they would have made sure they got their money.
I also had an apartment that started the 8th of Sep. 07 and ended the end of sep 08. I requested to cancel the lease due to being married to a service member being reactivated and to sent to NC. I followed all the guide lines as far as proper written notice. I paid my full rent until august and they were able to have a new renter move in the 28th of august. They were actually charging two tenents for the last three days in august and it wasn't until it was brought up to them that they prorated payment already made. The Bluffs corporate office is now charging me a full months rent as a relet fee. There is no such thing listed in the lease. After my husband called Lorraine and Jonathan they just lowered the fee. Not only do they have to right to charge me, but they still owe me more than half of my security deposit.
If you are looking to loose a lot of money, time and aggrivation move here. Also i am not even going to get started into Lorraine refusing to put lights up in the parking lot after my husbands car was broken into twice as well as over 50 more cars within a one to two month time frame. It is very obvious that Rimsi doesn't care about their tenents or our service members.
The police are also showing up almost every night now, but for things like noise, domestic violence, drugs, thefts from cars and so on and so on.

Didn't you have a copy of the lease yhat shows what the security deposit was that was paid. Sould be on the first page
