I agree with all of the reviews posted about Strawberry Run. Don't let the change of name fool you. New name...same issues.

Truthfully speaking, I have never seen an armed robbery, but I definitely feel that the community could feel just a little safer.

However, my discontent comes from things such as poor maintenance work and overall lack of concern from the office staff:

1. I had two ceiling leaks within a month. Neither was corrected until 4 or 5 DAYS later.
2. I've had backed up pipes leading to flooding in the kitchen. (Took 30 minutes for me to clean up my kitchen but, 3 MONTHS to get completely fixed).
3. Bath tub lining peeled away after attempting to clean it. In order for me to get it reglazed, I was told to vacate for a weekend (in all fairness I was told that is the length it would take, BUT I WAS NOT TOLD THAT MY SHOWER DOORS WOULD NOT BE PUT BACK ON AFTER THE JOB WAS DONE. Needless to say, I returned to an unfinished job. I had to call the maintenance person on call to put the doors back on, again...unfinished work. To this day, I still do not understand how a maintenance person can have an attitude with me, when the job was not done properly).
4. The leasing office is very quick to tell you what you have done wrong (like leaving a mop in the corner of your balcony for a day to dry), but as you see, very slow to react to the problems within the units.
5. The office staff will tell you that a problem will be fixed, but you'll see no maintenance person until many days later (in my case 4-6 days later). That either means...the maintenance staff is VERY SLOW...or there are SO MANY PROBLEMS...they can not get to them all (both are reasons to not sign a lease here!!)
6. Washing machines frequently do not drain.
7. The water goes in pretty much two types (SCATHING HOT or ARCTIC COLD), with very little in between. I have been able to boil a pot of water in a couple minutes.
8. The rent for my apartment will jump 90 DOLLARS.

In the spirit of fairness, there are some good things, such as cheap high-speed internet, cable, and phone options, free heat and HOT water (but at that temperature, you would be afraid to find out how much that would cost if you had to pay for it), close shopping center with a supermarket and great italian restaurant, and its proximity to UD. But to me...the dissatisfaction that I have felt overall, is not even worth all of those things.

In closing, I would consider staying here if there was truly the "five star service" as advertised the day I was doing my apartment search. There needs to be some major work done at this place. Get the water at a SAFE temperature, replace the piping that do not leak as often, put some concrete between the floors so I dont hear the kids upstairs running around the apartment, SPEND LESS MONEY IN BILLBOARDS AND SCOOBY DOO APPEARANCES TO ATTRACT TENANTS, and give some attention to their current tenants.

I beg you...don't throw away the money I've thrown away on rent. It is truly not worth it...AT ALL!!!
