THINK THRICE

Yeah! Think thrice. It place is a good value in terms of the living area you get for the money and the proximity to the University. The pros stop right there.
These are 30 year old apartments which have NOT been maintained over time. They never did ANY major maintenance as is needed for buildings this old.
1. Don't be fooled by the model apartments. That's exactlt what they are. Models.
2. Ask to see the apartment you are going to get BEFORE you move in. There should be a law to help you with that.
3. DONOT sign the lease until you check out the apartment you are going to get and are thoroughly satisfied.
4. Don't feel great cause the apartment you got looks white and clean. Tap on the walls and counters and all potential problem areas to check and see if the filler they put in the previous day dried or not.
5. Two maintenance guys for 41 OLD buildings.
6. Parking is an issue for some buildings. Especially if you are near a cul-de-sac.
7. Walk into the office and they greet you with a smile. Call them and they are your worst nightmare.
8. They DEFINITELY will lose your work order a few times.
9. If you have some free time to keep reminding them of the problems with your apartment, then this place may work out for you. Yeah! you WILL have some issues with the apartment. For sure.
10. Be prepared to spend some hot days and cold nights here cause the AC and Heating have to be turned on. No! your thermostat is not broken. And it hasn't blown a fuse.
11. Watchout for that occasional leak in the ceiling and don't put anything that may be destroyed by water under those problem areas.
12. Read 1 - 11 a few more times....
