Truly the worst place in Newark, DE

Are you kidding me'! Who is this "I bring balance" idiot' Have you even been inside any of the apartments here'
I can give you a million examples!
1. The carpets are all old and smell like cat piss and dog ----
2. The derelicts from the surrounding neighborhoods like to use this place as drug deal central
3. In the summer, go out by the jungle gym for the kids and just watch what happens after nigh fall. Believe me, you don't want your kids hanging out there even in the day time. The mulch is non existent and the grass, even in the summer, is missing in huge patches all over their "beautifully lanscaped" grounds. It looks like a freaking trailer park.
4. Take pictures BEFORE you move in and AFTER you move out. Juat because your stuff is out of the paprtment and you hand in your keys doesn't mean they wont charge you if something happens to the apartment in the time it takes them to actually go inspect you apartment.
5. If you do choose to live here, make sure it is on the top floor to avoid the ceiling caving in everytime there is a water leak from the apartment above you because of shoddy repairs and crappy maintenance. Management does not cover any damages to your belongings and renters insurance does not cover you fully in these cases.
6. They do not shovel the walks in the winter. It took maintenance 3 days to shovel the stairs to our parking lot. God forbid you should fall down and break a leg. Management will not help you out with medical stuff. They just tell you to use the stairs in the front that are salted but still icy. Personal experience.
7. Do not park your car anywhere near the sheds on the side. Cars get broken into constantly and there is rampant drug use, prostitutes and drug sales that go on out there. I found a hypodermic needle between the sheds one night when i was walking my dog.
8. There are dirty little kids running around at all hours of the day and night. Now, i don't mind kids at all. I have 2 myself but these little ------- curse and throw things at me when i try to do my laudry or walk my dog. my kids are terrified to leave the house if i am not home. Oh, and don't bother talking to the parents of these kids. they just stare at you blankly before yelling back at you about how they can't afford childcare and they are doing the best they cna. Since when do you need childcare during the day when your kid should be in school' And what the hell are you doing home at 1 in the afternoon if you dont have enough money for childcare' It's a vicious cycle -----. get a job.
9. The "pets" here are freakin pit bulls and rottweilers. The leasing girl told me those dogs are not allowed here. During my stay at Chelsea on the Square i saw 8. One of the tenants even threatened a little boy with her pit bull puppy. A 20ish woman threatening a 6 year old. How ridiculous is that'
10. The maintenance guys are terrible. The little one gets nasty with you if you ask him any questions about the air condtioning and it takes them WEEKS to fix anything. I've seen them sitting on their ass in their truck more than i've seen them working. Maybe i should get a job here so i can slack off too.
Enough for you "I bring balance'"'
DO NOT RENT HERE. The only reason I rented was because i was from out of state and based my decision on the website which is a complete lie by the way. So happy i do not live here anymore!!!!
