I've lived in this complex now for about a year and will be renewing in the near future. I have to say that it's been a very nice place for the money. It's an older complex built in the late 70's. The walls, ceilings and floors are concrete, so it's virtually soundproof. I've never heard a peep from any of my neighbors. I've only had to call maintenance one time and they were there within 15 minutes and fixed the problem. I've read some complaints about the management and I guess everyone has different experiences, but I've never had any problem with -------- or the rest. The neighborhood's quiet and there is a surprising lack of riff-raff (e.g. bass systems, loud parties). The neighborhood it's situated in is an older middle class neighborhood. Crime is virtually non-existent and it's within a mile of a shopping center with everything you need (grocery store, drug store, liquor store, pizza, Dunkin' Doughnuts, a nice bar/restaurant, Chinese food, hair salon) and within 3 miles of the larger Pike Creek shopping center. All-in-all, for the money, you're not going to do any better in the Pike Creek area (which, incidently, Money Magazine rated #79 on the list of top 100 places to live in the US).

While everyone's experience may differ slightly, the experience of myself and many of my neighbors contrasts sharply with that reported in this review. Drummond Hill was by far the noisiest apartment complex I ever lived in. One could not escape the din of blaring televisions, stereos, vacuums and objects dropped on, and dragged across, the floor of apartments directly overhead. This noise pollution occured at all hours of the day and evening, and actually woke me from my sleep on numerous occasions. Don't buy into the positive propaganda. The management is abysmal, and only individuals with very low standards would consider renewing a lease here!

The above review was obviously written by the management to boost ratings. It is out and out lies. Actually it sounds like a rental brochure so I am sure "--------" or someone else posted this misrepresenting as usual from the office. They are rather good at that. It's not soundproof at all, especially outside when "the ghetto" awakens. I am not talking about the "middle class neighborhood" that surrounds it. I am talking about Drummond Hill Apts. The worst collection of thugs and riff raff you have ever seen. My car got broken into 3 times while I was here! My building has HALF the carpet replaced in the halls. The other half is years old. The halls are disgusting and gross, and dirty. Some with old appliances tossed there because the maintenance (if you can call it that) are too lazy to dispose of them. There is trash on the grounds, and dog feces EVERYWHERE! As I said the above review sounded like management trying to use this site to advertise their slum. Pay for your own advertising! How stupid do you think people are, that they can't tell this review screams "Rental Office"? Walk through the halls, they look like something from a ghetto. I am glad I got out. DOn't believe the lies!

That's all management does... see bad coments and post as anonymous because they want us to think its really all that of a place to live.. whatever!!!! Capano Management treats their residents like crap!!! I've lived in two different communities and upset with both. They need a complete turn around or they'll have low residents.

I'm the person who posted the original post, but have forgotten the password I gave when I signed up originally. I'd just like to add that I stand by the above review. I DO NOT work for the apartment complex or Capano or anyone else with a financial interest in the place. I've had to call maintenance 2 more times since my original post and work was completed in a reasonable time, though not in the 15 minutes mentioned above...that was an emergency where water was leaking from above and they had to respond fast. I've heard about the vehicle break-ins and parking problems, but I believe they are concentrated in the 2-bedroom buildings at the bottom of the hill (2-bedrooms = more cars). The parking is pretty bad down there and it's darker, though they have just installed some pretty blinding lights outside that have considerably brightened things up. I have never had a problem parking with maybe one or two exceptions where I came in at 2AM and the lot was full and no-one has ever touched my vehicle, which is considerably nicer than most of the cars here. My only beefs to date are that they've increased the cost to use the washer/dryers and the potheads that live down by the washer/dryer room, but I only have to deal with that when I go down there. Anyway, everyone has different experiences. I don't doubt what everyone else has posted, I just happen to have had a much better experience than many of them.
