Live somewhere else if possible

I have lived here for 2 years so I think I know the place pretty well. My advice is that if you can find anywhere else to live (if you are a UD student) then live somewhere else. I chose Foxcroft only because there were places left to rent and because the price seemed to be reasonable compared to some other places. However, we've had so many problems and it's not worth it. Nothing will be fixed unless you get a parent involved. Manager is non-chalant about everything. The carpet was disgusting when we moved in. The roof leaks when it rains. Toilet doesn't flush right. Roof upstairs cracked. Even though we clean, we have ant problems when the weather is over 50 degrees. Parking sucks, especially on Thursday through Saturday. Sometimes I can't find a space in my own apartment complex and I have to wait for one. My main complaint is that these places are so damn crappy and it takes them forever to fix things. These places are old, built in the 1970's, and they really just need to be knocked down and rebuilt. Many of the washing machines in many units are those from the 1970s...the ones you need to hook up to the sink. And if you get one of those, you will probably not be told when you sign the lease. Lights don't come in the rooms, you need to bring your own to plug in. It's so old-fashioned. Pipes are rusty and disgusting and don't hold up well. If yours don't leak during the year, you are lucky. Rent is about $500 (per person) and going up. It's not even worth $200. It's s huge rip-off and the management doesn't care because college students are usually just anxious to find somewhere to live. But you should look elsewhere please and force them to build new apartments and treat tenants better. Overall, I have not been satisfied here and I cannot wait to move out in 3 weeks.

Oh, and if you see any positive reviews about the place, it's probably the management writing them. I have met most of my neighbors and others who live here and I have not found one person who actually likes living here. Please take my word for it and save yourself a year of ants, broken appliances, mold, leaky ceilings, and waiting around for a week to get something fixed.

Why did you live their for 2yrs if you did not like it? You did not like the place after you left it in Poor Condition and was charged, then you take your anger out on a complaint site, seems to me you should have made a complaint to the office ! Absolutely nothing in the files about any tenant being disatisfied with their apt. because we take care of our residents all the time and maintenance on the same day,so ALL THIS RANTING is not true. I find it very imature. I devote myself to this complex and do everything in my power to keep the residents Happy! I am here for the students, for the students. I work with everyone. Stop by and see the apartments for yourself and ask any resident if they are happy. Every single time I see a resident I ask are you happy do you need maintenance done? Every time. Management does not need to write untrue stories on here. That is so imature.
