The beautiful landscaping is what originally attracted me to the location. Upon recieving a tour of a unit which severly over-represented the actual apartment (with track lighting, mirrors to enlarge the sense of space, etc.), I signed a lease to rent a two bedroom apartment. During this period of time I recently had a newborn son, however as the season transformed to the Spring and Early Summer, he suffered through multiple Air Conditioning Breakdowns. I was told to replace the filter and complied. I was told to empty the closet and complied. The maintenance man visited three times and failed to properly fix the problem. My son was diagnosed with eczema and the Doctor advised keeping our living area cool to prevent heat rashes...but to no avail because Glen Eagle had no concern for us welfare as people...only our reliability as tenants in reference to payment.

I filed a statement of complaint during recent renovations of the apartment complex roofing. My brother who had a friend that was 16 at the time (he was only 18), had trouble accepting that the contractors who upgraded the building were constantly sexually harassing his friend. The roofers also sexually harassed my ex-girlfriend who at times had our son with her. She wore a promise ring on her engagement finger to deter the whistling, the calling, the shouting and provocation...but it didn't work. The great thing is that upon receiving my statement, Management immediately opened an investigation and within a week, each and everyone involved were released from employment.

The following statement was taken from a previous rater:

"Glen Eagle has also been in the news. In one of the nearby apartments, a tenant was arrested for possessing several-truckloads amount of child-pornography, and apparently video equipment was found in his room. This apartment complex is across from the Christiana High School. Management will deny any knowledge of this, but you can probably google the story yourself. Although not the fault of Glen Eagle management, it does speak something about the clientel and environment of this place."

This is indeed true because my mother works for the United States Post Office and confirmed the information from a Co-Worker that delivered there. Please don't be fooled by the luxurious landscaping and the smiles of the staff. Once you are in, you are pretty much a number and a rent check.

There are other minute details that bothered me such as the sink glue almost detaching the sink off the wall, but I never made that an issue because Good Uncle Sam decided to deploy me to combat operations for the Army 6 months after moving in. I handed in my papers and had the lease broken.

Thank goodness...

Anyone in any neighborhood can be a criminal. It doesn't necessarily speak to the caliber of ALL of the residents in a particular neighborhood or the overall environment. Hell, Michael Jackson lived in one of the most affluent areas in the country.
