The leasing office and the model apartment looked great, as did the grounds for the most part. However, when we got the key to our apartment and entered our building, I was horrified. The entryway is disgusting--a constant stench of stale beer and cigarettes, peeling paint, torn carpet, and mailboxes literally falling off their hinges. The fire extinguisher that was supposed to stay in our common area outside our door was missing for at least six months. I once went down to do laundry to find a fresh pile of human poop (to be polite), and it took maintenance over 2 hours to clean it up!! Maintenance is always a problem. It takes several phone calls to get them to come over, even if it's the A/C that's the problem in the middle of summertime. Our dishwasher was never fixed during the whole time we lived here.

There were a couple of car break-ins in our parking lot during our year here, and I was kept awake more nights than I can count by foul-mouthed drunks revelling and instigating fights in the parking lot. Walking into the building generally meant stepping over a local group of day-long Busch beer drinkers, and they left their mark daily with discarded beer cans everywhere and the distinctive smell of piss around the floor drain in the laundry room.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! There are other apartments in the area of comparable price where better living can be had.
