OK...I have the luxory of having 2 reasons to review this place. I used to live there and my girlfriend still does. I agree with some of the negatives, but as far as kids loitering, favortism towards 'white kids who don't even live there over black kids who do' (just a ridiculous jab), and the leaky buildings...only so much is true. I lived with my girlfriend for about 6 months there before I moved a little closer to my job. I didn't regret leaving her there by herself. She's now lived there for 18 months and her only issue has been a leak in her sealing (her building is almost 25 years old) and the wax ring around the toilet expired. Leaks happen...especially in older buildings. 25 is old for an apartment building. Wax rings fail. Anyine who's ever had a toilet knows this. It is true the old staff was slow on the uptake, but they got the job done and also took note if you were going to be away for a bit. The new management is already showing signs of being an improvement. They tow old, untagged, or abandoned vehicles if they sit for longer than 48 hours. The lots and buildings are genorously lit, so security of a vehicle is good. The buildings are quiet too. But this isn't an issue seeing as how quite a few residents have lived there for more than 20 years. 1 of them lives next door to my girlfriend. Everyone is at the very least pleasant to each other and it's mostly mid twenty somethings to mid 30's. It's a good place to live for 2 or 3 years until you decide to get a house. Not to mention it's not too heavy a traffic area so it's quiet at night.
