My boyfriend and I moved here after terminating our lease at Cavalier because of cockroaches. The staff here was very sympathetic and accomodating, and even took preventative extermination measures before we moved in just in case we brought any friends with us during the move (we didn't). We've lived here since Feb. and so far have been pretty happy. There have been a few maintenance problems, but they were fixed in a timely manner. There are some cracks in the ceiling, and it looks like maintenance just kind of patched over (like a band-aid) so I suspect this will need to be fixed again at some point. Noise for the most part is not a problem, but if you have a loud walker above you, you will hear walking sometimes. The dishwasher is TERRIBLE and the stove is quite outdated, but it works well. All the windows and sliding door are new and have great insulation. This helped us keep our electric bill down. Gas and water are included. You are allowed to paint your apartment, which we did, and we like that it's a little bit more our style now. Apartments and grounds are clean and safe. I see members of the maintenance staff out everyday picking up trash and cleaning up. Parking has never been a problem and the lots are well-lit. Shoveling and plowing when it snowed were a little bit of a problem. Management can be uptight about some rules, which can be annoying, but I guess they do that to make things better. Some of the management staff can be pretty snotty, but I just ignore it. Even with the them being snotty sometimes, they've always taken care of problems efficiently and were never outright rude. They don't allow dogs, they allow cats but the (refundable) pet deposit is really high at $300 per cat. We looked at A LOT of apartments after the horrible first apartment we had, and I can honestly say this is the nicest one we saw, and it has a great price. Overall, we've enjoyed our time here so far and will be renewing our lease when it is up in Feb.
