I have recently moved out of oaktree apartments and it has been the WORST renting experience I have ever had. I lived there for over a year and a half and I am so glad to be out of that place. First of all, the management staff are the rudest I have ever encountered. They seem nice before you sign the lease and after that if it has nothing to do with giving them the rent check it takes forever to get any assistance. For the two summers that I have lived there I had constant issues with the air conditioning system and instead of replacing the unit like they should have, they come in and claim to fix it when nothing has been done. It's sad when it feels better to be outside on an august day than to be in the apartment. There have been issues with the shower, and other appliances as well. The worst part about this experience, is that although i kept the place in good condition, the management staff had the audacity to not only keep my $200 deposit, but also charge me an additional $300, claiming that they had to replace the carpet because it was beyond wear and tear. That is an illegal practice that this company does in order to get more money out of hard working people in this economy. It doesnt matter what you do and how much you clean the place, they will always find a way to keep your deposit. Whatever you do, don't ever rent from this place....you'll be happy you went somewhere else.
