I agree with a previous post that Rockwood should be called "Ghettowood".
Management has gotten WORSE with each change, not better. Some of the tenants were real scary to be living near!
Maintenance might go "zooming past my apartment" but that doesn't mean they are doing their job! I had maintenance issues and, if the work order wasn't 'lost', yes they showed up eventually. When I lived there, the so-called maintenance team should go to school to learn how to do things!
As far as the "free breakfast" and "free themed social events".......I have free breakfast and social events here. But at least the social events here are FOR the residents and not a drinking party for the management & maintenance. I've been to a few at Rockwood and that seemed to be the main focus!
On a final note............I'm soooo glad I moved out, it was like living in a nightmare when I left.

I like "Ghettowood" it is a clever and accurate description, and it is getting worse in 2007 and 2008, I agree with everything you wrote about maintenance, and when it is cold and thev've been chased out of the office back area, well let's just say I know more than one working tenant that has come home and found evidence that someone was hanging out in their unit during the day (yes they lived alone, and gave nobody a key, nor did they request or report a maintenance problem) These guys pretty well know who owns what cars in some instances, and can drive down a street and know whether certain tenants are home or at work... If the tenant has been here for awhile, and the maintenance has been here longer, they know. I'm surprised that my neighbor who works a 12 hour or longer sometimes day, obviously not home a lot, but has lived here a few years, can and has pointed out at the 10 cars we can see out front and rattle off which unit which car belongs to, and usually something about the tenant as well... If my neighbor keeps on top of it and is not home very much, the all day zooming about maintanence guys sure can !
