You would think with living in Newark you would have a decent apartment. Not the case. The design of the structure is ok. Less room than you thought you were signing up for. About 10 Sq Ft less. But neither the problem nor the issue. The issue is the Maintenance and the Management. You can say that your chances in getting maintenance to an issue is about slim to none. They're about as slow as slug and about as useful as an infant. The utlities inside the apartment are horrible. Your hot water tank goes in about 5 minutes, your washer is as loud as a boeing 747, and your not allowed to use your garbage disposal unless it only for water. The decks are roting. Screens are bent, broke, or don't fit. Bugs are everywhere. I spend more money on bug spray and ant killer than I do on my family most times. With management, you have the "Manager" in the office at all times doing the B**** work while another one dresses pretty and thinks she knows everything but just is a snotty, ingnorant human being who drives a Jeep and doesn't obey the properties own driving rules. But what are you going to do. It's cheap, you get what you pay for.

I agree with some of the issues raised. The three managers can do a better job but don't. Slow response of managers to maintenance issues is a major problem. If your water faucet broke over the weekend or holidays, rest assured you will be out of the water from that faucet until the return of a business day and then this can go on unrepaired for several business days. If your bath water faucet broke, then you will go without a shower for the weekend as this is not considered a major problem by management. The good thing is the rent and in unit washer. The washer is really small and loud but still it is the convenience of having your own washer and dryer. Electric bill is high as the apartment insulation is poor and old energy consuming appliances.

Because this review does elude to me, I feel I have the right to post a response. I do understand that, when people are given a forum to publically display their views on the way you perform your job, there are obviously going to be people who have negetive things to say. Imagine if everyone you deal with at your job was told to go online and rate your performance...it probably won't always be good. With that said, I feel it is best to try and learn something from people's opinions rather than take away a negetive from it. So, I realize that someone feels I could do better at my job, that i am "snotty and an ignorant human being"...and that honestly motovates me to want to do a better job, to be nicer and more professional to people that I deal with, and to try and always treat other the way I would prefer to be treated. So, whomever wrote this review, I thank you for bringing that to light and I do apologize to you for the times that I should have treated you in a better manner and with more respect. However, I do not want anyone to take this as a negetive reflection on Spring Run Apartments. They have a great staff and I believe it is one of the better apartment complexs to choose from in the Newark area, based on what they have to offer for the money..shop around..the rent is extremely competitive to other complex's that do NOT offer a private entrance or washer and dryer in your unit.
