I lived in Strawberry Run for 3 years. The rent was cheap and we had a very spacious 2 bed/2 bath apartment. Construction was poor, but as I understand those buildings have been there forever. No major maintenance problems while I was there.



Good for college students-the other residents are so coked out they don?t care how loud your party is. The police are there all the time!

DON?T GET A FIRST FLOOR APARTMENT.

They aren?t kidding in that neighborhood! They will just put a cinderblock through your sliding glass door while you?re out. I?ve seen it happen. Empty apartments are broken into by local teens and they steal all the fixtures and appliances, and then set up a shooting gallery (if you don?t know what I mean, stay away, you are too innocent to handle these apartments!) Check smoke detectors because sometimes they fall asleep while they are "cooking". My apartment was better than most because it was burned up by the previous residents and had to be renovated. On the good side, it?s always quiet on the first Monday of the month when everyone is out cashing thier checks.

ONLY LIVE IN THE BUILINGS CLOSEST TO 896. The further back you go, the worse the crime. When I lived there we lived next door to the maintenance man, and he left in the middle of the night, leaving months of rent unpaid and an eviction notice on his door. The office staff was always courteous and helpful. The washers/dryers make your clothes gray, but they work. Central AC is great (most apartments in this price range only have window units). But you practically have to use the stove to get hot water. Overall, I would say that it was good for the price. What can you get for less than $600 these days' JUST BE SURE TO HAVE 911 ON SPEED DIAL,AND ALWAYS LOCK YOUR DOORS AND WINDOWS, and you?ll be fine!
