THIS GOES FOR TOWNE COURT AND PARK PLACE:::::: I will remain completely anonymous, for obvious reasons.

Anybody who has any kind of contact with this management company knows they'll use every means possible to make sure you're 100% screwed.

I won't say the time span that I worked/lived there, but I will say that the moment I arrived to work, I knew there were major problems that would only get worse.

The apartments COULD be nice, if they were taken care of properly and it's not even so much at the fault of the maintenance department that they're not.

They only do what they're told and it comes from the direct mouth of ERIC SCHWAB that those apartments and the people that worked there were thieves.

They would do everything they could to screw you out of your deposit and they basically had NO heart.

They illegally signed names on papers if for some reason they didn't have an 'accurate' record of something and they made sure to make worse any bad or unfortunate situation that a tenant got into.

From refusing to let cancer patients out of leases when they admitted they wouldn't be able to pay for it between radiation treatments and other bills they were falling behind on to evicting families with young children who had absolutely nowhere else to go, this management company has no soul.

I FIRMLY believe that the only few good reviews were most likely made by them.

They only care about themselves and the second you need any kind of understanding, don't even bother thinking they'll give it to you.

It was the best decision of my life to leave that place and I truly feel bad for anybody that works under that man.

I myself went through the Delaware Department of Labor to try and fight certain things but i was told they had some paper to prove me wrong.....

knowing how they go about getting their records, I have no doubt that all they did was type up some document, backdate it and forge my signature.

Of course, I was told I wasn't allowed to see what these papers were.

Of course! Why would I be entitled to see papers of that sort??? That would make too much sense.

As you can see, I am still to this day fired up about it and there has been a good amount of time that has passed.

So i'll say this.....

Don't rent from this place.

It doesn't matter if it's the cheapest (if it is????) or convenient as a location......or your friends live there, i'm telling you now......they'll screw you, like they screwed me and thousands of other people that lived there.

Don't do it.

I'll be happy to answer any questions.......schwabsux@gmail.com

I agree. We need more people like you to come out to have a full-scale investigation of those people start up and run them out of town!!!

I'm writing a story on Towne Court and would like to speak with you. I tried e-mailing you at schwabsux@gmail.com, but it seems the account no longer exists. Please e-mail me if you read this post: sbrix@udel.edu

I have to say this does not shock me. I had a friend who lived there with similar issues, and this was over 10 years ago! I remember my friend having an issue with rent. She was told she didn't pay, but had. It eventually ended up with Towne Court taking her to court. They didn't anticipate my friend keeping copies of checks and records. My friend won. Another friend lived in an apartment with a questionable front door that also had a significant gap at the bottom so rain and wind always came in. Towne Court never did anything about it. I wonder, after all these years, does the back of Towne Court still have random mystery dumpster fires set by the problem tenants, but do nothing about it and instead go after the people who are good tenants for money? They, along with many other Newark renters, get away with this sort of thing since most tenants are students who are in and out in just a couple of years and don't care to or know how to defend themselves legally.
