From the day we moved in we had nothing but problems. It was obvious that our "new" apartment had been broken into prior to our occupancy. We asked the management staff to fix the damage and they instead offered to paint the door. To this day, six months later, the door has not been painted. This has been the least of our problems. The apartment above us has flooded twice and visible mold is present in our apartment. They did not respond after the incident to repair any of the damage until we sent them a letter threatening to withhold rent. They made only superficial repairs and we recently discovered that the mold is still present. The second flood they used our trashcan to catch the dripping sewage (they could not use the bucket as it was in use under the leaking sink which they had "repaired" the week before. Repairs are still not complete to either flood or the sink. The apartment staff are very unfriendly and very defensive when you call for repairs. To list as many of our problems as I can remember: Stains on carpet, back door doesn?t lock, leaking sink, two floods, door that has been broken into, toilet leaking, microwave broken....on and on. I could go on even more about the noisy neighbors upstairs however it is not their fault the floors are just that thin. I have lived in many apartments over the years and am used to apartment living however I have never experience this amount of noise or problems. Never move here as it will make your life as miserable as ours. I pray for the day that I can leave.

I just wanted to add that I live at Valley Stream and the ame thing happened to us with our door! It looks like the door was broken into-the side of it is all pryed and scraped up. When we first moved in, it scared us-- we wanted to install a chain thing on the inside. it has been almost 2 years and the maintenence has yet to do anything about it. they never even agreed to repaint it.
