Staying here for 7 months. The day I joined in this Apartment, door keys were not working. Heater had missing components. One batch had missing Sink. We were with 7 month old kid without heat for 2 days. Management takes no responsibility. Behaves as if this is nothing compared to what they hear every day. It took 5 months to fix leaking kitchen sink, after reporting it 5 times.

There were at least 10 Full day water [block pipes broke] outages in dead winter. A.C did not work 6 times in the last 5 months. It takes avg 4 days to fix it. Management says"many AC units broke and your turn will come".They say it is not an emergency and could do nothing about it. Once your turns comes the maintenance guy will be searching for the componentsfor two days. No kidding Every time I called them, "We are searching for the components sir, still could not find 'em, it will be ready by tomorrow". Same thing repated for last 3 times. For how many years these guys repairing these A.C units!!' With a 1 yr old baby we had to endure 95 degree heat for days, while they still search for these components every time.

This is around 30th day either without heat [winter] or AC[summer] or water[mostly dead winter].. in 7 months stay..If you are planning to come here think tiwce. Rent is not cheap for this area. We get around $150 /- Electric bill per month for a 2 bed room, with a moderate usage.

I need some advice on what kind of action we could take on this management. How can they be more responsive. Please respond to egateuser@yahoo.com. Tenants of Valley Stream- if you have had simillar experiences, let us do something about this.
