I have lived here for one year and i can't wait until my lease is up! The street lights on the main Valley Stream Drive have been out for several weeks. Upon numerous complaints to the leasing office, nothing has been done EXCEPT for the cars that were broken in to as a result of the PITCH BLACK environment. It is a burglar's dream come true....no lights around the parking lots!! And don't think the office staff will come running to rectify the situation. Once that office closes they could care less what happens on property. And oh yeah, the quality of the apartment is no prize either! Kitchen cabinets don't line up, the appliances are outdated so your energy bills are through the roof and forget about your safety in the winter. We had three inches of ice in our parking lot and the only way we were able to get rid of it was to wait for the sun to melt it.

I disagree with you. I'm going on my fourth year and I have noticed the property has upgraded many things. The manager has always taken time to speak with me and as for the snow and ice, I have seen many of the staff over the past few years plowing and applying salt throughout all areas. I did complain about one light being out and it was fixed within a few days. So I do not think that it is fair to only take one persons opinion whe looking for a place to live. I recommend Valley Stream! If anyone disagrees maybe they should purchase a private home, apartment living is not for everyone.

As a second opinion I can say yes three inches of ice was on large amounts of the parking lot for at least a week before the sun melted it. Also a few days to change a light bulb! Lastly this response and the if anyone disagrees purchase a home attitude, seems like anyone reading it can figure out who wrote it and why.

Seems that staff membors who spend their time objecting to unfavorable comments about the apartment could better resolve the situation by walking away from the computer and making efforts to change the things that most people complain about; if not for the goal of providing quailty apartment living, then for their own job security!
