if you listen to the recording on the office recorder, (which you will do if you call, because noone ever answers the phone), it says, we are one of newark's premeir communities, yada, yada, yada. What concerns me is that there are people here that are state subsidized that pay $50 a month and the state pays the rest, because they are section 8 and on welfare. They drive new cars, nice cars, that i can not afford even though i do work fulltime at a relatively good paying job. why can't they work as i do' i see them socializing and cooking out on their grills and having a good ole' time. my rent if i stayed would've been raised to over $900 a month. I had no deck or porch as the section 8 people have or the ammenities that they have. This place is very racist. (against white people) there are numerous packs of teenagers prowling around on any given night through the buildings, looking at the cars and littering up the entire parking lot with their beer cans, beer bottles and pizza boxes. there is no security on foot walking around. they harass people and yell at people and are very noisy. i have even seen condoms. it is gross. but i guess at $50 a month with 4 or five people living in one apartment with multiple dogs, cats, rabbits and birds, it is easy to afford the care for all the animals when you are supported by the state and you are abusing the system. you know who you are! your children are rude, disrespectful and talk and curse like gutter rats. i think there should be some kind of audit, if you are on section 8, to explain how you can afford you fancy honda accords and other cars such as mercedes, with tinted windows and stereo systems. (new cars).. how your child can wear all designer clothes and have a nextel phone, all the priviledges of a wealthy child, while i work fulltime sometimes as much as 60 hours a week to provide the basics for my children. this particular person brags to the neighbors that she is scamming the office and she has all kinds of monies coming in, etc....this community allows straight abuse of the welfare system and it those types of people make it hard for the single mom who really does need help to get it. you know who you are if you read this!

I am very grateful to know about these issues, because I too once made a bad mistake about an apartment complex. I detest section 8 / welfare bums, tell it like it is .... ------.

There is one single black mother here on Section 8 warefare with 3 young kids all under 4 years old. Probably by 3 different fathers, none of whom are around to pay any support. And there are other families with teenage kids that are beligerent, ignorant, and create a lot of the vandalism around here. They are just ghetto families who don't know any better and don't know how to live decently. You can take them out of the projects but you can take the projects out of them.

Well ladies or gentlemen, I would just like to respond to the Section 8 theory. I am a working women and have been all my life and I am on section 8 as well, but to let you know that I pay full rent as most of you do and take good care of my surrounding. I do not have a new car, but I do have a car. Just because a person is on section 8 does not mean that they are ghetto. I get so tired of people stereo typing a person who is receiving assistance for housing. Also it is not a black or white thing, it is those particular individuals regardless of race. Now as far as the apartment community, I agree with you totally. I moved here for the security and decent area about 2 yrs ago and I have seen it go down drasticly. The gate has not been working for a year but they want you to pay more rent and the management is really ridiculous, they can't even keep straight who is paying rent and who's not. Since I have been here there has been four different set of managers and assistant managers. Now lets keep the issue on the apartment complex and what they are doing wrong.
