Go to the following crime site and type in the address and you will see the last 3 months of crimes for this area. Car thefts, robberies, burglaries, vandalism, criminal mischief, the list goes on. And pay close attention to our neighbors, Iron Hill Apts. That was the reason the Security Gate with pass cards was initially installed, to keep them out.

200 vinings way, newark
Please notice the 2 (two) cars stolen. And the vehicle vandalism in Feb involved 5 (five) cars with broken windows not a single incident. And all this is only 3 months worth. And this is NOT ALL THE DAMAGES, just the major criminal activity as what was reported to the police. The office gets notified on a regular basis on all other problems. And Angelica, Asst Mgr, doesn't care one bit about your problems. Her response is that she can't be expected to be a parent to these people. The regular manager Linda quit after she was attacked by a disgruntled resident she was evicting for non payment, numerous noise violations, and allowing "extra peeps" to move in with them.
If you like to have your cars damaged, kids walking on your car hoods and roofs, bouncing basketballs off your windshield, obnoxious loud rap music all day and night, kids cursing and screaming, throwing trash on the ground all day long, walking in the middle of the road and they won't move for you, they won't even move on the stairwells when you are trying to get to your apartment, this is the place for you. Just low lifes.
Just recently some delinquents KNOCKED DOWN 5 (FIVE) MAJOR SECTIONS OF THE FENCE. And the security fence is not being fixed because it keeps getting vandalized as well.
Just ask some people who are left. Most others are smart enough to just move out. Unless they are section 8 and paying a minimum amount of rent. They have no other place to go.

I have lived here since May 2006 and have not seen or heard any of these problems. It may be in some of the buildings, but I have never seen it in mine or the areas surrounding mine. The worst experience I have is the elephants that live above me.

Dear bscoxe, maybe you are one of the problems if you don't see any problems. You don't see the fences being knocked down ?? Drive around and look. Maybe, you are just used to living with garbage.

This place once cared about their residents, it wouldn't tolerate criminal activities, noise violations ect. They like you until you complain about something. The turn over in Management should tell you something. Staff is there for a paycheck. If they like you then your concerns will be address if they don't forget it. The very good residents are moving out and that's very sad. The security gate is being taken down because they won't take the money to repair it. So there is no gate surrounding the property at all at this point. They just want the rent check and forget about everything else.

Linda was attacked?!! Ha-ha-ha! Maybe I shouldn't laugh, but what goes around, comes around! That stupid cow would not fix my circuit breaker for well over a year. She kept lying, saying that it wasn't her problem. And that it was Delmarva's problem. That was a bold faced lie! Stupid, bored kids were shutting off my power all the time. It was a waste of time going over to the rental office complaining, after a while, because she didn't care. Once I got totally sick of it and then contacted corporate, the police, the fire department, and the fire marshal, she finally got up off her lazy, fat a$$ and did something. Linda just had it covered up with duct tape at first, then got mad at ME for telling her boss what she did. Talk about lazy and worthless! I had to keep pushing the issue constantly, before the circuit breaker was covered and locked properly. Linda was ALWAYS trying to pass this place off like it was it was a luxury resort, blowing up balloons, and trying her best to pimp these places out. She would answer the phone, saying..."It's a wonderful day at the Vinings!!" GAG! Most of those calls had to have been screened. Normally when I would call there, no one would answer the phones. Go look at the positive review on July 2005 "WhAt An AwSoMe HoMe!" I think she wrote that. That was around the time when she took over. Funny, but on the same day, Iron Hill got a similar positive review. If it wasn't Linda, it must have been Anita who wrote that false trash! Linda did try her best to convince people that this place was the perfect home, when she worked here. Linda would also have meetings, trying to find a way to deal with these section 8 kids, and making friends with them and their families....so she could keep this place a HAPPY place and find more renters to move in. Of course...BIGGER commission checks! Then Linda would get tired of the kids, after a while and made Angelique or Angelica (or whatever her name was) deal with them! What a joke! Linda got in way over her head, thinking she could be a guardian angel to slum dwellers and a big sister to welfare kids, while she was overlooking really important issues, like my exposed circuit breaker and other major discrepancies. Well, she got what she deserved! Guess she won't be in such a hurry to want to play the sweet, passive slumlord in the future!
