Beware! You are better off living in your CAR than here! Don't waste your money, moving here! This place sucks! I have to admit, the apartments are newer than a lot of other apartments in the Newark area. These apartments aren't ugly. They are designed somewhat nice, but they're cheaply put together, with low budget kitchen cabinets/appliances.

Overall, the bad truly outweighs the good here, at The Vinings at Christiana.

Everytime I turn around, there is always someone new working at the rental office. They cannot keep staff here at all. I've been here over a couple of years now, and I ALWAYS see a new person working in the office.

Well, if you hire uneducated morons for $7-$8 an hour, expect lost paperwork, forgetfulness, selective memory, disorganization ...etc. The Vinings staff SPECIALIZE in laziness and incompetence. And when things get too messed up, they leave and someone new takes over, who is even a bigger clueless idiot than the person who was there before.

They will screw up paperwork so bad, that you have to go down there and fix things, find things, and sign tedious paperwork 3-4 times a year. Sometimes it happens more than that! They either mail or shove hateful letters inside your door, telling you that their incompetence is YOUR fault. It's mentally traumatic after a while. They NEVER return phone calls when you call them. Maintenance is worthless! This place is truly not worth all the headache and drama that you pay for every month.

The kids here are uncontrollable. It's enough to make you wish that tubal ligations were mandatory for ALL females over the age of 13. The kids here are not supervised. They scream and holler all night long. Plus they play in the streets, hoping you will accidentally hit them. They will not get out of your way....ever. Nothing is done about that either. Bebe's kids rule the hood, all up in here! Folks that already live here, are somewhat lucky if they live up on the third floor. These kids are just as lazy as they are mean and arrogant. They are not going to walk up three flights of steps just to cause trouble with you. They mostly dwell in the streets, right outside the apartment buildings. So if you are on the third floor, consider yourself blessed. But still, their noisy screaming can still be heard outside, from morning until late at night. Any woman wanting to have children would want to rip out her fallopian tubes, stomp on them, and burn them, after she had the full on experience of living at the Vinings.

Stay away from the Vinings! You'll regret moving here! The rental office is a cesspool of con artists and lazy, worthless McDonald's rejects!!

For the record....Cazanna wrote this review on 4/24/2008, right before midnight. And then bscoxe wrote his response right AFTER midnight, before 1:30 AM. bscoxe is trolling this message board, defending this place. No resident in their right mind would be up so late online wanting to honor and defend the apartment complex by trolling the message board and commenting to the other residents, defending the rental office. So it is true what the other anonymous poster had written. "bscoxe" MUST either work for the rental office or MUST be getting PAID extra by the rental company. Hmmm, he mentioned how great the maintenance is on another thread. I think it just might be the maintenance worker HIMSELF, writing this...probably for extra commission money or for a lousy Wal-Mart gift card bonus. Funny, my experience with the maintenance here has been just as awful as the rental office.

AS with previous reviews posted here, I have been here almost three years and have experienced none of these problems. I will agree that kids in the street are a problem and have experienced it myself, but we don't even know if those kids are from here--more likely from Iron hill. As for the staff turnover, that happens in every apartment complex--at least it has in every one where I've lived. Good God, it happens in private industry--where have you been? Surely I am not the only person who has not had problems here--makes me question the validity of the reviews.

I rented an apartment in Louisiana for almost 3 years and had the same property managers there throughout the whole time I lived there. My rent never incresed every year I was there, either! I also rented other apartments in various places, and never even came close to dealing with such useless people, like I have had to deal with at the Vinings!**~

yeah bscoxe works for the company. If you do a survey with all the residents at the vinings You will surely get all the complaints listed by Cazanna. The Vinings is paying BSCOXE for making positive comments on this site or is working in the rental office. Just by the Fence being taken down took away the sense of security. Oh by the way the kids are NOT from Iron Hill and they always use that other property as an excuse. Other properties do not have a high turn over. I know 2 companies and 1 of them the manager has been there 13 years and the other company 7 years. The private industry doesn't have a high turnover like the vinings they set a record.
