I absolutely HATE these apartments. The looks are deceiving.....you come in and see newer looking apartments with newer appliances,etc... but you soon realize that everything was put together cheaply and poorly when it all starts falling apart. I've had 2 closet doors break, toilets consistently clog, and many other problems. When maintenence comes, they put in the least amount of effort possible. If it's too hard....they take shortcuts. My toilet was supposed to be snaked....they unclogged it thinking that it would fix the problem. Nope, it just clogged again 2 hours later.

And the kids....omg, the kids. Where are the parents'!''!'!'! In their apartments or at work, not giving a damn what their kids are doing. We are constantly calling the cops because kids are running up and down the hallway at 11:00 at night, standing outside our windows screaming at each other, etc... Both of our cars were broken into (one radio stolen out), I've had kids steal my kids toys off our porch, they never get out of the road when you drive by, leave trash EVERYWHERE, destroy the property, leave wood boards with nails sticking out in the grass, and don't get out of your way when you're trying to pass in the hallway. At this point, I don't say "excuse me." If they don't move, I bump into them....they are RUDE. How can their parents not teach them respect' And not to mention, the 3, 4, and 5 year olds who are outside unsupervised, or being watched by the older delinquents. Who does that'!'! Just recently, I was driving through the parking lot and a kid hit my car on purpose with something he had in his hand. At that point, I had had enough. I slammed on my breaks and at that point the entire group of them ran in different directions. I followed the boy and told him not to do anything like that again....called him a disrespectful punk, and went on my way. Who knows now, I may come out one day and my car might be vandalized in retaliation. I hate this place and cannot wait to get out of here.

DO NOT EVER MOVE HERE. IT IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR THE HASSLE. IT IS THE GHETTO.

Did you try complaining to the rental office? If you did I bet they just lied and told you what you wanted to hear huh...Did you notice all the new furniture in the rental office and the potted plants in the entrance of the Vinings. Why should they care about if you enjoy where you live, they are busy spending the rent money.

Angelica (definitely black) was the manager in charge. Unless, she is gone now in the past 2 months. And the other manager (Linda) was attacked by a low life black in her apartment who threw a brick through her bedroom window when she was sleeping and has since left. And from your post, you are no better than the other ------ who try to blame all crime on the management or the police. And you are right "justpeace". If the management could keep ------ from living at The Vinings, that would be a step in the right direction. Just like Wilm and Philly ------ blame the police for the out of control low life ------. Just look at the crimes that were reported to the police on this website. There were 3 (three) MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS. Bldg 100 on Jan 9th, Bldg 500 on Feb 13th, and Bldg 700 on Feb 16th just for a 2 MONTH PERIOD. And that Vandalism at Bldg 1100 on Feb 10th included AT LEAST 5 (FIVE) VEHICLES !! http://www.nccde.org/sqlcrime.asp And remember, this is only those crimes that WERE REPORTED TO THE POLICE. MOST AREN'T !! ALL COMMITTED BY ------ LIVING EITHER IN THE VININGS OR IRON HILLS APTS. ONE OF THE KIDS WHO WAS CAUGHT VANDALIZING A CAR AT BLDG 600 LIVES IN BLDG 400 ON THE GROUND FLOOR. AND HIS SINGLE MOMMA WON'T PAY FOR THE DAMAGES.

It has nothing to do with race, Did you forget that everyone in the rental office is white? Did you forget they are the ones who control who resides in the apartment complex. There are many residents who reside at the vinings who pay full rent they are black, white, mexican etc. There are many issues at the vinings but race has nothing to do with the lack of caring shown by the rental office. "Angelica is no longer at the Vinings, Linda was a wonderful person and she didn't deserve what happened to her she was trying to bring unity to the complex and she WAS getting rid of the rift raft. If new management doesn't want to do what needs to be done then yes they are the blame! Instead they are more concerned about collecting that section 8 money. The police do everything possible, they don't recieve the support from the rental office to assist them from the crimes,loud music,unruly kids and ignorant people. By the way being a racist doesn't solve any problems it makes them worse.

I have lived at the Vinings for two years in the beginning I loved living there and now I can??????t wait to get out. Yes there are a lot of kids that hang in the Vinings and I think most of them come from Iron Hill aka (the Dump). I have to keep my teenager in the house because every time my son goes out side three and four kids from Iron Hill want to fight him. Also they have a lot of kids who use to live in the Vinings and Iron Hill whose parents were put out and now they kids comes back and start trouble. I thank GOD that I??????m able to take my children out of the Vinings for activity. Don??????t go and try and talk to one of the parent of the Bad Asses. They cruse your out and want to fight too. I have not had any real problems with maintenance, Shawn comes and fixes things in a timely manner and they are fixed right. I think Shawn is the head of maintenance. I do have a big problem that I have been dealing with for a while; ROACHES they sent an exterminatory out a couple of times to my apartment and it seem to be getting worst. I asked them to do the whole building because it seems that when they did my apartment that they just ran to the other apartment then came back. They tell me that they have not had any other problem like this and I told them there is a lie or the other apartments on my role must like living with roaches. They are in the walls and outlets so you can??????t tell me that it??????s only my place. When I moved in, I did not one roach and people started moving in and out and here comes the roaches. I have had too throw away so much of my thing because of this problem and When I move I??????m going to have to throw always a lot more. This is very sad to have to live like this, I have NEVER lived like this before and I can??????t wait to get out.
