Convenient but.....

The only advantage of living in West knoll apartments is that it is closer to the campus. Although their is no bus stop near it, the walk is little less than a mile. The manager is a nice old lady who is usually very kind to students. There is hardly any concept of typed lease or rental contract. Its usually verbal between the tenant and the rental office which is nice factor for the tenant as one can leave any time just by giving a couple of months notice. The apartment units are rather old and not very well kept. The windows are very energy inefficient. Bathrooms are tiny and fixtures in the bath room and kitchen are very old. Appliances including stove, over and refrigerator are all ancient.
Maintenance is not the fastest but things get done at the end. Sometime it takes few days to a week for something to be fixed. You might have to visit rental office a couple of time with a maintenance request.
Another problem that some people have encountered living in West knoll is bed bugs. The rental office claims that the bugs were brought from a neighboring apartment complex. Whatever the reason, the management refuses to get rid of them.
Above all it seems that the owners of this property are least interested in keeping it clean and well maintained.
