For the last few months, my husband and I have been looking for an apartment to rent. We're currently living in a Vintage apartment in Dover, and rather than stomach the weight of another security deposit - we were 'wowed' by Vintage, and convinced to transfer our lease to Arbor Pointe in Newark. So far, we've come across nothing but dissappointment. We were lied to about the security deposit (told $87.50, now are being asked to provide $500 - quite a difference), the past tenant has a delinquent balance - so Comcast won't hookup our cable until we provide pages of documentation of our residency, we were told that the accent walls were 'no longer offered' (even though the color choices were shown only a few weeeks prior), and all of these issues have been addressed - three days prior to our proposed move in date.
For all those who are looking to move in here, please - look elsewhere. Don't let the idea of bells and whistles fool you. Vintage Properties are a scam, the apartments are in shambles, and it's worth it to pay a security deposit someplace nicer.

An update: We decided it was best to not move into Arbor Pointe. We'd rather drive an hour every day to and from work/school - than move into a place where the office staff/apartment owners find more joy in screwing you, than providing adequate living space. All of these reviews helped!! Thanks everyone!

My God! My husband is actually living in there and I'm really worry that he may get sick. I wish that he may not be afraid of spiders and snakes.
