I've been living at Brandywine Hundred for the past 3 years, so I was living here before Korman took over. All I can say is that the transfromation from what this place was to what it is now is nothing short of a miracle. It was once run down and shabby, but now it really sparkles. I moved here 3 years ago out of convenience, but I am choosing to stay here because now I live somewhere that I am proud to call my home. With all the work they have put into the renovations, they probably could have jacked up the rent, but they didn't. It's still a really affordable place to live.
If you're apartment hunting in the Wilmington area, I would definitely recommend Brandywine Hundred.

I wholeheartedly agree, as a resident of almost 2 years. I signed up under the old owners, and moved in the week Korman took over. What a windfall for me! The sound is almost nil unless you have someone bowling above you. The concrete interior walls block almost all noise from adjacent units, including top and bottom. I have lived or visted complexes in many mid-atlantic states. I never thought apartments could be this quiet. Safety is a significant issue. There is no crime (check the online crime maps), but the grounds and outside of buildings need many safety changes. Plus, there are no handicapped safety accomodations (yet?). Since the upgrades did not involve structural changes, the building is "grandfathered", meaning Korman is not required to provide safety upgrades. However, they plan to anyway. They are about to launch the outdoor renovations to buildings, garages, safety and grounds. Rent was raised considerably for existing tenants when their unit was renovated. For tenants new or old, the rents are competitive with other local high-end properties. They are certainly justified for the renovated units and the many amenities Brandywine Hundred provides us. The fitness room, business room, and gorgeous new social room are very well done. No, I don't work or with Korman. Yes, I have had the usual renter 'issues'. But, Management is responsive and I count my blessings whenever I don't have to pay a specialist to come fix something! Whe something does need attention, maintenace folks respond within hours.
