I lived at Colony North for almost 3 years, and it was basically an okay experience. Rent increases were pretty high, considering I never got anything out of it except a new single appliance when my avocado green one broke. The rest of the avocado green stayed for the duration of my time there.
Neighborhood was basically safe, but the bowling alley next door always had loud parties and people on the weekends in the nice weather, and one time someone (probably from Courtyard - the section 8 complex up the hill) was casing my husband's car until he came outside with a BB gun. And then there was the elderly lady in a wheelchair that was carjacked like 2 weeks later - probably by the same people.
But outside of that, never really had any problems, until I moved out. I wasn't expecting my whole security deposit back, but I felt like their assessment was pretty unfair, and when I stated that they sent me to a collection agency.
