I have lived here for 6 years. So, I'm giving an honest to God review. Just know that the model office they show you is a 100% bullcrap. If they show you an apartment and say 'it's not done yet, but we will clean it up and give you new carpet' that's an absolute lie.

I had to get an apartment in a hurry kuz of my admission into UD. When I moved in here, the 'new' carpet was filthy with stains. The 'stainless steel' stove was horribly stained and dirty. The soap holding dish was broken in the bathroom. And let me get into windows. I never knew such cheap windows could even exist. There is ALWAYS a draft. Because of windows not shutting all the way down, I have had an increase in house centipedes which I abhor. Last summer I got so tired of killing them, I didn't clean up their guts. I would see at least one house centipede every other day. BIG problem.

Now, a couple years ago, they started updating windows. I talked to the front desk lady and she's all like 'your building is next.' What a bunch of bs. When I got back from vacation, I waited. Another few months pass and I go to front desk to be told not all of us are getting the window upgrades (And at that point, I had been here for five years!) I was being fed the line 'well, then rates would go up' and well, hello, they go up each year by $20 so far.

Also, the ac/heat unit, is a joke. It is SOOO loud that even guests are startled. You have to turn the tv up by at least 10-15 notches to hear it properly. I'm not exaggerating. In fact, I called the maintenance guy by and he heard it and he's like 'Well, this is good! This runs good' Who are they kidding' Also, for three years, my AC unit didn't really work. Then, I bugged 'em, they 'fixed ' it; still in the summer, it will run all day and only cool you off at night. At night, it works great, but running it in the day is a joke. Heat works ok. But like I said, there's a constant draft, so g'luck.

Maintenance is a joke. Currently, I only see 2 maintenance guys that I know of, and there are plenty of buildings here, so they're overworked. My heat went out, and he was so busy he fixed it at nighttime. I was in the cold all day long and I was told by front desk they'd get to me asap.

Everything in the apartment is old. The laundry room constantly has a washer or dryer broken (total of 2 each). Oh, and for my building, we've had a water problem for years now. I think the valve breaks and we're out of water, and they just temporarily fix it. My walkway is never cleaned up (they covered it with grass and mud due to the water problem). I had to skate over ice, office lady brushed me off as usual.

Walls are paper thin. You hear loud music at 9a.m., actually at any time. Neighbors are constantly moving in and out, sometimes shady people. I could smell weed walking up the steps at one point. The very first office person/landlord was a -----. She'd say no to your face. Over the years, many have come and gone, only one was such a polite lady. My outlets have sparks coming out. I was walking on my treadmill and got shocked, yep actually jolts. Maintenance came and fixed it... yeah, i felt jolts again!! He came by third time to fix it. But check this out: he only worked on 3 or 4 of 'em.

Very bad management. If you don't give a crap, go ahead. If you care, go elsewhere kuz it's really bad management. I know this is by midatlanticrealty; I wonder if all of their properties are managed this poorly.

Oh, and I only toughed out 6 years here is because i KNOW they'll take my security deposit. I didn't want my parents to lose anymore money, so I've toughed it out. But really, never again. This place is a hellhole.

Congratulations... we are celebrating our first HOMOICIDE of the year. Contant break ins to vehicles, drunks outside, appartments are a disgusting mess, and you would think the rent would be cheap... HA. Do not come here.
