HORRIBLE!!!!

Well, from day one I was disappointed. I loved the sample apt. (leasing office they showed me). It had bay windows and looked out on the courtyard. Well, I wasn't able to see MY apartment until the day I would move in. (I've learned not to do that again.) I received a basement apartment with very small windows. Lets start with the window issue. The windows are very old and when I first moved in, half didn't even open. I had maintenance open them, but still they couldn't open one so I just let it be because they are useless people. During my time here, I asked about getting new windows like I saw in the leasing office and was promised "oh this winter", "oh this spring" "oh this fall" ...yeah yeah yeah. I told the office that I had to put up comforters on the windows during the winter to help keep out the cold. It leaked cold air in the apt. soooooooooo bad. The office said "just keep doing that". lol. funny huh'!'! My neighbor said she threatened to hold rent because of the same problem and they put in new windows the next day. AMAZING!!! Okay, next subject. The bathroom. HORRIBLE!!! You can hear when someone is in the bathroom above you. If they talk or cough or something, you think they are in your bathroom. If they take a shower it wakes you up and you think someone is in your apt. showering. My toilet is horrible and still wont flush correctly even after they "fixed" it several times. I've given up on getting them to help with that issue. Next issue. Kitchen. My kitchen sink faucet was leaking and they "fixed" it. Funny how a few months later it happened again but this time I couldn't turn off the faucet at all. I called emergency maintenance and they "fixed" it again. Hopefully it really is fixed. Also when I first moved in, the stove didn't work and they had a little heat measure instrument on the stove to use to see what the temp. was when you wanted to turn it on....hmmmm, no...come fix that stuff. I'm not going to use that to cook. Next subject. Wiring. My bathroom light switch had a short and would flicker and then go out all the time. They "fixed" it but again funny how a few months later it does it again. They had to come out again and this time the guy was really nice and told me the truth. He said the guy before him didn't replace the bad switch, he just tightened the wires but it needed to be replaced. Also, my living room outlet that I never ever use, was one day sparking and making noises. There were blue sparks flying and I was really scared. I called emergency maintenance and the guy calls me and says..."Do you need to use that outlet tonight or can you just use another one'" Are you kidding me''' Umm, did you hear what I said...blue sparks...flying out of the outlet....so he said "okay then I'm on my way" but with an attitude and shows up 1.5 hr. later. Next subject..I agree with the other people about the front doors. There is a huge gap and my neighbors smoke so the smoke smell goes into my coat clothes near the door and makes my coats smell. I don't smoke and its the worst smell in the world. Next subject. Parking. Hmmmm, again I agree with the others. Its really hard to find parking at night time because duh everyone is home by then. I was told before I moved in that it was never an issue because I had asked cuz it did look tight for parking. If you come home on a Sunday night...forget about getting parking. I had to circle around a few times for someone to leave one night..lol. Next subject. Safety...lets see. Since being here I've heard someone being stabbed in one building. Another being shot and robbed right in front of the leasing office building. Another was drunk and hit a few cars. My neighbors car was broken into. A drunk guy just walked right into my apt. one day that I forgot to lock the door behind me after just walking in. He said "oh this isn't my apt." and walked out. Like wtf!!!!! Don't waste your time on even checking this place out. Please, Please go somewhere else. I know you want to save money and find somewhere that's not going to be an arm and a leg but sometimes you just need to go up in price a little to get better, safer living.
