DON'T RENT HERE

The office manager will make your stay here a living hell! This seems like a friendly community at first, but after you sign the lease, all bets are off. I was personally hung up on by her when I called for maintenance. Also, if you are lucky enough to have a good job and make decent money, it will be better spent at the Residences (or somewhere else that will cater to the young professional crowd). Ships tavern is home to many low income, HUD renters, who are obligated to pay a small amount of rent, while those of us with decent jobs will pay for our share of the rent- and theirs too. My unit runs $1300 per month, while other HUD tenants have told me that they pay out less than $400 for their units. This is truly a case of Renter beware!

Sounds like a good place for a free loader if you can swing it!

I am responding to the comment about "low income" renters. I'm a single mom and yes I work for the State of Delaware and I don't make a lot but my son and I are decent. I teach my son how to behave properly. He has manners and treats other with respect. Just because I have a low income doesn't mean I act like a low income. I read to my son every night and I'm a christian and read to him the ten commandments and put him to bed by 8 am. So don't refer to people who are not as blessed to have a fabulous job that way because all of us are not the same. I work hard every day and do my best at work. But since we are on the subject. I do have an appointment to take a tour of the "community" next week and I may cancel it because I don't want to live somewhere where it is unsafe and the management is horrible. I noticed all these posts are old. Is there anyone who lived here recently that can give an opinion of the apartments now. Thank you and god bless you.
