I recently moved back into the Plaza (HUGE MISTAKE), thinking that since the Management Company has changed, that the issues with the complex would change. I would have to say that this management company is much worse, atleast Madison returned phone calls. To summarize the experience, there are very few good points.
If you are looking for free electric, it's not free. We pay close to 1000.00 per month for a 1 bedroom....electric is not free, it's included in the rent. The doormen' Yes, they say "Good Morning", "Have a good night", and sign for your packages, that about covers it. Anyone can come up to your apartment, they don't make them sign in, they don't contact you to make sure that it is ok, they just sit there.
That is basically the start of all of the problems. The washers are usually always broken. You will honestly put your laundry in and try to start the machine. Of course it will take your money, but no water will come out. Do you get reimbursed' Nope....it turns into your fault. The elevators, horrible. Get in one just to experiance the sounds of the cables creaking.....chance of getting stuck, too common and happens too often....looking to get out of the building at 7:00, better push the button for the elevator at 6:30 or take the stairs. Honestly, the new management company has done nothing for the complex....someone with respect for the residents paying their hard earned money should take over.
Broken promises are way too common with this complex, when I moved in, the carpet was not cleaned. The rental office stated that they would sent someone to do it. I have been there for 3 months now and no one has come to do the carpet. The a/c.....still not working. We have had some warm days....being high in the building, your apartment becomes 95-100 on a 70-80 day.
Please trust all of the negative comments on this site, they are all true. I cannot think of any strong points to living at The Plaza. I would spend 1500....just to be in a complex that actually showed concern about their residents. This complex truly doesn't care about anyone. They are so concerned with making the common areas nice, but neglecting every single one of their residents.
Believe me, the rental office will show their true colors.....no returned phone calls. They won't even respond to your questions through their "secure" website. Go into the office, you will get the runaround.....All in all, it's a horrible place to rent, don't make the same mistake that all of us complaing on this website have made. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else...save yourself the headache.

Hey, they are finally upgrading the elevators, but I guess that means we go without A/C. Also, I think you have to actually corner someone in the office to get a response from them, but it usually is a run-around. They don't follow through on anything unless you hound them and pull their teeth.
