I lived there and it was horrible. Maintenance does walk into your apartments. The maintenance men have said sexual things to underage girls there! I heard it! I heard the maintenace yell at an old ladie it was repulsing. The office staff is the worst I have ever seen. The good ratings on here are done by office trust me you can go ask the tenants your self! The parking is horrible!!!! I my self had to call county complaints!! Laundry machines areas are dirty and unsafe. If your looking go to Valley Run or Harbor House.

This is a hidden advertisement: "go to Valley Run or Harbor House"? I've been living here for more than 4 years, and never had a problem. The place is not cheap, but it offers a lot for the money. I don't know where you've lived so far, but unless you came here from a Miami castle you couldn't be more wrong with your comments. Maybe the unaffordable price (for you and other people like you, who come here without judging whether they could pay the rent) makes you be so frustrated. But as long as you're in Valley Run, Top of the Hill will be even more at the top. The only complaints I've ever heard about this place were posted on this website. Coincidence?

I have been living at Top of the Hill for almost a year now and I love it. And let me tell you, maintenance does not walk in any apartments. Whenever I've called them they've always knocked first. The parking is not horrible. You will always find a space in front of your apartment. And the laundry machines never look dirty to me (and trust me, I would notice dirt). The office staff is really nice. I have NEVER had a problem with them. And like the person before me said. It offers a lot for the money. Once it starts snowing, the parking lot will be plowed, the rent includes everything except cable and electric. The have a swimming pool and tennis court. What more can you ask for? And I agree with this is a hidden advertisement.

One thing I do notice is that there is a recurring theme when people post negative comments about this complex and want to offer people with a better alternative. Coincidence? I posted the review just prior to this one. I do not work for the complex. I work as a travel nurse and this was my 4th apartment in 2 years. Between myself and my other traveler friends, I have seen my share of housing options. This complex is fine. As stated, even the local police will tell you the area is fine. Heck, there are several Wilmington cops that live in the complex. Maintenance was always helpful and prompt. I always recieved a call prior to them entering my aparmtment and they always knocked before entering. I lived right across from the maintenance shed. As I stated in my review, the windows are very thin and as such don't keep out noise very well. I never heard them carrying on in an inappropriate manner and they were always very courteous when I walked by. They would even step off the sidewalk to let me pass regardless of what they may be doing or carrying. I concur with my fellow responde?nts. This is simply a hidden advertisement for a local competitor. Why else would their name keep popping up

Ask the police about the crime all the car thefts and break in's and the shooting that happened there! Ask the young under age girls in the neighborhood how the dirty maintenance men say inappropriate things! Maintenance can't fix the apartment properly after you waited a month for them then it takes another month for them to come back. Call New Castle County Complaints, they keep records and will tell you that there have been complaints in the past!!! I know I had to call and make a complaint! The office staff is rude and they have no idea how to run an apartment complex properly! I should know I am an apartment manager! I currently moved to another North Wilmington Apartment Complex and I must say "Valley Run" is the one best apartment complexes that Wilmington has to offer and I don???t even work there! For just a few dollars more then top of the hill it's well worth the security and customer service that "bottom of the hill??? is lacking. Hey see for your self drive in there after 8:00 PM look at the parking. Then on Sat stand around in the parking area and ask the tenants how they feel about the complex!!! Most Cops and everyone else that used to live at top of hill now live in Valley Run because the complex gives you soooo much more! The only good thing about top of hill is the grounds! What ashame the staff and the apartment can???t live up to the grounds!

I don't live in either complex..but Valley Run is a Dump!!
