Definately Check it Out

I have lived here for 3 years and would recommend it. Let's be honest...apartment living can rarely be ideal, but overall I've enjoyed my time here.
Pros:
1. The grounds are always well-kept and groomed. During the winter, there is a "posse" that walks around and shovels the walkways. For the most part, they do a good job. Your walkway may not be shoveled as soon as you would like, but it'll get done. Here's a tip: live on Kynlyn Drive, it always gets plowed quicker than the other two roads.
2. The pool, gym, and business center are all nice.
3. It's a relatively quiet neighborhood. I never really see my neighbors, but over the years I have met a few of them and they're perfectly nice.
4. Convenient to the highway, nice river view, minutes from the city and a short, easy drive to Philly.
5. The apartments are clean, newly painted, and newly carpeted.
6. The maintenance staff has always done a good job of being quick to respond.
7. Everyone has their own private entrance. This has been a big deal for me because it's so nice to avoid dingy, smelly common hallways.
Cons:
1. Noise. I am in a one bedroom, bottom floor. I can hear almost everything that goes on upstairs. Phone conversations, arguments, walking, their cats running around...I'm serious, I could probably tell you where these people are in their apartment at any given time and what they're doing. That being said, it becomes easy to tune out. I've been living in apartments for several years and at some point you just don't hear it.
2. The rent may be reasonable for the area, but it's rediculous for the space I have-or don't have. Tiny. I wouldn't recommend two people living in a one bedroom apartment here.
3. There is pretty much no storage space.
4. Like others have said, there is absolutely no insulation in these apartments. When it's cold, I have to keep my thermostat on 75-80 degrees and it still gets cold! If you put your hand close to a window, you can feel the air coming in! And once your apartment heats up, it's gone in minutes.
5. There's no security guard patrolling the area at night anymore, but I have never ever had a problem and never heard of anyone who did. I'm a single young woman and I have always felt safe here.
I would definately suggest checking out the place. I did a lot of apartment searching before I moved in and didn't find anything quite as nice in the area.
