Fire ants and cockroaches permiate the place. They came out of the wall sockets in most rooms. Pest prevention didn't help. One night they got my son while he was sleeping. He looked like he had chicken pox.

Many windows are fogged up. The carpet is ancient and is only replaced in some of the appartments that change tenants.

Next to us lived drug dealers. The manager said she could not evict them unless proof was provided. With a well-attended crack house ten yards down the street and a constant crowd of drug addicts hanging around, it is needless to say that most tenants were too scared to provide such proof.

The police knows about the crack house but doesn't seem to bother much with it.

My son got robbed twice by local black kids. Several friends of ours were beaten and persued in the black neighborhood surrounding this complex.

Just before we left and in the three years following, management changed like six times. Most of our friends have left the place. Rent has gone up from $310 to $550 for a 2 bedroom.
