Camdens, Where do I start. First off...I've lived here for about 4 months and I am really sad that I have a whole year left to go. Safety in this neighborhood is horrible. Cars get stolen left and right...then broken into. Same with apartments. Word is that it is the "staff" that does it b/c the doors end up being locked back up. I would believe it. Then they wanna keep putting notes on your door about everything that you are violating. Patio furniture on your patio is NOT allowed. But, some people can have exercise equipment. When you call the front office to tell them that your car got stolen they just say send us the police report so we can document it for our records. Not... "I'm sorry that our "gated" community that you pay an arm and a leg for is never "gated". Let us take some blame for that and take some of the $500 dollars to get your car out of impound off your rent." The gates never work. My thing is if the back gate doesn't work and you are aware the the neighborhood has multiple break ins... LOCK IT FOR GOOD! Make everyone go through the front gate that works! I think the staff here knows whats up. If you move in here just expect them to be nit-picky about everything. If you leave your lights on you might receive a notice of BREACH OF LEASE on your door. Also they knew stuff about my apartment that you would only know if you actually went into it. No one has been here while I am here. And I don't authorize anybody to be here when I'm not. So privacy is gone as well. Oh and construction. They built the entire residence out of ply wood. There is lake lotus right behind the apt. Water and ply wood equals rot. Well, lets just say that whole buildings at a time are scaffolded b/c they are replacing the sidings on all apartments. But, the first building has already taken atleast two weeks...Imagine waking up to BANG BANG BANG every morning and then when you look out your window there is plastic covering it. Yeah... Not so hot Camdens aren't what I thought. They just do a good job covering it up when you first move in. then it is downhill from there.

This is great i live in this very same building! I had to deal with over 2 months of banging and darkness in my apartment. I had no privacy as people walked in and out of my apartment at their leisure. I also had no use of my only closet because tearing down the sidings damaged the insides of my apartment. so i had cloth strewn about my apartment for a week. no balcony use for the 2 months also. No discount for the months they had done all this mess was given...but the best part was when they where done and a week later they said MORE people needed entrance to my apartment to check appliances...
