RENT ANYWHERE ELSE, BUT HERE!

Where do I begin' There is a laundry list of problems with this community. I've lived at Camden Renaissance for almost a year now and will be leaving as soon my 15 month lease is up. I'm sure when the construction is done; my building will be nice and weather proofed. However, I am in grievance with the previous disgruntle resident. Living here is very close to RENAISSANCE times. The construction is a complete inconvenience. And the cost of our rent is not reflective in the price I've had to pay for the inconvenience. I have two small children living in the dust and debris, unable to go outside and play, because all of the grassy areas are barricaded into the HARD HAT construction zone. My building is the third building to receive this weather proofing treatment. The black plastic covering only provides privacy from having the construction workers looking into your apartment at 7:45 in the morning. It doesn't keep the bugs from getting in, and it doesn't keep the dirt and dust from covering all of my furniture and suffocating my family. I wake up every morning with my drywall dust in my nose and can even feel it in my lungs when I breathe. Parking is an absolute nightmare as the construction has overtaken the entire front of the building. The scaffolding is everywhere, my outdoor living space and storage is barricaded and unusable. The length of time is not specified before or during construction so I'm stuck in this process, as the last writer stated it last 12-14 weeks, that is a quarter of the lease. The intermittent water loss as early as 8 pm and power outages throughout the day is a huge inconvenience. And the afterhours maintenance at Camden does NOT exist. How can a phone number ring and ring until it goes busy, and when it s called back, says that the voice mailbox is full and a resident cannot leave a message, for emergency after hours service. Another thing is the faulty plumbing and shoty A/C units, with internal rusty piping and wiring, just waiting to combust. I hope my lease is up before that happens. If there is anywhere else you can rent, besides at CAMDEN RENAISSANCE, I would suggest you do so. If you are tossed up between Camden and anywhere else, chose the other place. That was my situation. I wish I had picked the other place.
