From the light fixtures falling down, to the OUTRAGEOUS PARKING PROBLEMS...Charter Pointe is NOTHING but problems. Yeah sure the aparments are brand new, but even a brand new apartment is crappy if the craftsmanship is shotty. I moved in here in March of last year. When we moved in...it seemed as if everything was alright, the complex was still under construction so some of the parking spaces were blocked by equipment, and we were ASSURED by the management company that parking WOULD NOT be an issue, that there were plenty of spaces for residents AND GUESTS !!! Within the first week we had noticed that the carpet was comng up and pulling apart at the seams, they had actually laid the carpet down over a plastic grocery bag !!!! The ceiling fan in the living room was broken and it took them until JULY to fix it...remember...we moved in, in March ! Since then, our light fixture over the toilet in the main bathroom FELL OFF and it took them 3 months to get a new one replaced. Our kitchen and bathroom cupboards are falling off their hinges, the paint COMES OFF wih SOAP AND WATER and the lineoleum is bubbling.
Everytime I cal the management company to let them know of an issue they tell me "its a warranty issue and that its not their problem"
THATS JUST THE INTERIOR PROBLEMS...The EXTERIOR problems are even worse...we have complained that the parking lights havent worked since we MOVED IN, only 4 of the 12 work...they still havent fixed them and its DECEMBER ! The grass and trees completely DIED this summer and they had to replace 14 trees. It got so bad with the management not doing there job, that my husband actually found the owners of the buildings (through the city offices) and CALLED THEM to let them know what was NOT happening here...THE NOISE LEVEL IS HORRENDOUS I can hear my downstairs neighbor using the restroom...gross...and whenever anyone opens or closes their front door...the whole complex shakes, the sprinkler system that activates in case of fire is pointless...the one on our deck...is encased in the stucco..how is that suppose to work''' ya, they still havent fixed that either.

AND..dont get me started on the PARKING !!!!! plenty of parking my butt!! OUE LEASE says we get 2 spaces...but there arent even enough spaces for each unit to have ONE EACH !!! I just got a letter today from the management company informing us that we no longer are ALLOWED to park more than one vehicle in the complex...that we can PARK THEM ON THE STREET...that leaves me about a block walk to my door...with a 2 month old in WINTER !!! they claim that there is 129 spaces and 129 units...but what they DONT TELL YOU is that while true, there is 129 spaces...there are MORE than 129 units...because the management company in this complex is only ONE OF THREE...so they are only counting their buildings...

MY ADVISE...SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE...WHERE YOU ACTUALLY GET BETTER AMMENITIES ALSO...LIKE A POOL, SPA, GYM, PARK, AND GUARANTEED PARKING...CAUSE YOU DONT GET ANY OF THAT HERE !!!!!

it depends which building you live in, because i live in a 2 bed 2 bath.. & i dont here my neighbor downstairs or on my sides!! & 2 of my surrounding neighbors have loud kids, but i dont hear them!! All my light fixtures are great, nothings falling apart, my carpet are not pulling up or anything... & we never recieved any letters saving 1 car per unit! our neighbors have 3 cars, and we still manage to get close parking, and some for our guests! AND::: we DO have a pool, we d have a gym (granted its noy huge, but it still a gym) we have The EASTMONTE PARK literally right next to the complex. they have basketball courts, baseball fields, & its great if you want to get your kids involved in sports!! it also has a spacious playground! AND:: i dont kno what part of the complex you live in, but everywhere i walk by or see in the complex, none of the grass or trees have died.. i think i would have noticed.... i walk around the complex and the park everyday with my little girl!(& ive lived here for 2 yrs!) Also, yes the maintanence use to take long but they only had a couple guys... incase you havent noticed... they fixed that problem, and hired about 3 or 4 more guys!! i think that fot the price, its a good location.. now if you want to pay $600 for an apartment i suggest you go to PINE HILLS and get a crach head appartment, & then lets see how wonderful you crack dealer neighbors are!!!!!!!!

Ok (to the first complainer) I used to live here.......What do You mean the apartments are brand new? This place was built in the early 1970's. there must be some misunderstanding....of all You're crying.... You neglected to mention the most annoying thing about this place....THE NOISY TRAIN ACROSS THE STREET!

hmm. we moved here in march of 07 and there was no construction what so ever. and we have never received a notice of parking spaces. never had a problem with parking either, unless we got home midnight or later then it wouldn't be that close. are you sure you have the right complex? or are you making this up?

I've never lived in the apartments, but am always driving through and around them as I live nearby and date someone living there. I don't think it's bad at all this person rated the way they did...in 2005-well..NOW there's been construction in and around, that's for the person saying there was no construction, maybe they're blind, as for the parking, it IS in fact a problem... the person I know living there doesn't even have a space in the complex. The street to the south of the complex is always bumber to bumper with cars, I can't imagine walking that with a two month old, she had every right to complain...she had a bad experience, with her experience, I would have complained as well... maybe they have more maintenance now, but when she lived there they irresponsibly only hired two. That IS in fact a problem, if you think it's not, you need to live in a place with the problems this person faced and see how pleasant it is... the price, granted, is...ok. But for a "crach" yeah learn how to spell sweetie, "head house" you could probably try your luck in the vista area for about $500. Personally I live in a townhome three bed, two bath, nice loft, LAWN, BIG gym, pool, nice neighborhood, and guess what! I pay the same as the price for a charter pointe apartment at $695...like I said, I never lived there but am around the area and in it frequently and personally, I'm not impressed... Sounds to me like charter pointe has put a few of it's own workers on this site to cover up for their own mistakes??
