Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006
I am coming up on the end of a 12 month lease at Chatham Harbor and will be relocating for work and therefore not renewing.
The good:
The floorplans are large and well laid out, lots of storage and closet space. I-4 is 5 minutes away. Complex looks nice from the road. Have had no trouble with dogs, vandalisation, etc.
The So-So:
Office Staff is pleasant, but is not good if you have a lot of FedEx/UPS/DHL boxes delivered. Twice they told the delivery person I did not live there.
There is a bit more noise than other apartments I've lived in, but it is not unbearable. I hear my upstairs neighbor's garbage disposal, and also when they have sex. Slamming front doors, and noise from the stairs occasionally.
Groundskeepers drop the ball.
The Bad:
A lot of teen boys skateboard in parking area. Teens and young adults wander around the complex through the night.
It's a hike to my mailbox, and the gazebos that house the mailboxes are run down and often plastered with various flyers and advertisements.
Complex looks nice from the road, but gets more dirty and lower class as you drive in.
In Conclusion:
I would not be comfortable here as a single woman or if I had a child.
