Infestation is a big problem with this apartment complex. Not only are the apartments infested with roaches, but with ants, spiders and termites.

During the termite swarm season, our apartment became infected with swarming termites. We notified management of our problem. The maintenance worker came to investigate and we were told they were only ants. Ants don??t eat wood furniture. Our antique vanity had been eaten as well as our end tables in the living room. My father used to work for Orkin and when he examined them he definitely identified them as termites. Nothing was ever done regarding the termites.

Spiders also were a problem in the apartment. Several times we notified management of the spiders. With a child in the home, we were very concerned about spider bites. Again, management took a less than urgent concern over the problem.

The pantry, stove & oven and around refrigerator became infested with ants. Not just a few, the kitchen was covered and they were in everything. When management was notified, they did send a maintenance worker to investigate. It was days before we received a response back regarding what action was being done to correct the problem. It was over a week before management had pest control come out. In the meantime, most of the food in the pantry had to be discarded because of the infestation.

Repairs to issues in the apartment took months to get fixed, if they were ever fixed at all. It was months before a leak that was reported in the bathroom was fixed. A loose staircase railing as well as a window that wouldn??t open was never fixed. The management at this complex does not display enough concern over important issues with the tenants. The service providers they are utilizing such as pest control specialists are not good as whenever they serviced the apartment, the problems reappeared with a week. The management might consider changing companies.

Although the rent in this complex is lower than most other places in the area, it??s not worth the savings considering what the tenant has to put up with.
