I have noticed that a lot of people have put negative reviews here for Los Altos. I suppose that maybe some people are right and I'm sure most are exaggerating because someone ticked them off. There are good points and bad points as there will be with ANY apartment complex!!
Good:
Awesome rent -- It's the cheapest I could find in the area.
Friendly neighbors -- I work nights so I don't see a lot of people, but the ones I do see are very friendly.
Beautiful grounds -- We have grass, trees, etc. The pool is georgous. And I love the lake.
Staff -- The staff don't bother you.
Bad:
Maintainence -- Very slow and lazy, half way fix the little things. But when I had a big problem with my dryer they fixed it right away, and they fixed it right.
Hot tub -- is never hot. Jets are always on, but there is never heat.
Overall, I am very satisfied with my apartment and will definitely consider renewing my lease, provided I decide to stay in the area.

Wow, 200 less??? Really?? 200 less would mean my rent would have been 449 a month. Yeah, I'm sure there's rent in lake mary for 449 a month.... na, on second thought, I don't think even a 400sq ft studio would be that cheap in lake mary.
You know the point of this website is for renters to find an apartment that suits them. That isn't possible, if the people who post reviews let their feelings do all the talking. You have to be objective, and honest. If people aren't honest, then this website is a waste of time. I have lived in several places that this website gave bad reviews and each time, I was please with the apt complex.

Let me help you with your math. In 2004 my rent was 625 a month. The next month it was 725. then next year it was 800 then every year after it went up 35. So at the end My 820 sq ft apt cost me 900 when I moved out in 2008. Sun Lake Apt. off of Lake Emma in 2007 was going for 675 a month with a 2 year contract. I know this because my EX-wife lives there. Now you tell me, Why then increase when the Los Altos grounds, gates, fences, pool still look the same with the same problems..but more money..
